So I'm done with as much math as I can get done before Hong Diem calls me. Then we'll be able (hopefully) to get the last problem?? Anyway. I hate math. And if the teacher should not be able to email you and tell you your homework if they specifically told you there was none. Also, they should not be able to email you and tell you you did bad on things. You suck, proffesor. Stop caring and above all stop emailing.

Moving on. Last night was fun again. Only 4 of us showed up for fencing- me, sabre fencer, and two foil beginners. So I kinda assumed that the sabre fencer knew what was going on and was like a leader, but at the end of the night we found out we had all been freshmen the whole time! It was awesome! kinda. lol. Anyway so I attempted to teach foil to the beginners and then we let them play but I couldn't play because my stuff was in the loft and it was locked and only Mike knows the comb and we didn't have any girls jackets...ok we had a pile of candy dishes and a couple of those like plastic girdles but I decided to wear a guy's jacket and then just not fence. Anyway sabre kid and I ended up scaring the beginners by our passionate fight over which weapon is better (obviously, epee! Back up here anyone?) but we were at least able to agree that foil and pistol grips suck. Then we cleaned up the armory so that its really pretty. I like that the masks have random numbers like there's 1 and there's like 89 and there's 9189 and I was like "what the crap?" aw I love that phrase.

We let out early because the beginners were scared off by our fighting lol and then I had to go to the Daymocracy meeting (offical motto: yay Day!) where I hung out with Matt B from Hamburg, kid from Global Community (his name's prolly Matt), the girl down the hall who I actually like (there are like 6 people I like on my floor--that girl, my roommate, the girl across the hall, Hong Diem, and Jamal and Matt B from Hamburg) and of course Matt the President of the hall council. There were about 20 others but I don't know their names either. lol. Anyway it was good times but I smelled so I wasn't able to make posters because I had to come upstairs, take a shower, and do Freeeeench homework.

this weekend starts Parents Weekend. word. I guess. Its not like...yea. :(
I love my Daddy.

Soooo...good times.
Freshman forum and then Pita Pit then CVS with Alana...I miss CVS. alot.
Then filming of the fencing video (opening sequence again.) It was really funny.
Then back to my room to avoid homework, ate dinner, talked online, and went to fencing.

Have I mentioned how much I love fencing? (sorry, another fencing rant...) There is nothing better in the world then a truely good bout. Like when both fencers are good and not Kevin McMahan style fencers and good classical bout. I mean ok so I walked in and got my stuff and the armory's so messy it was making me cry so my armory compulsion went insane and I organized the jackets because I am a loser. Then I foil fenced this kid George and it was a good, solid, foil match--which I haven't had in forever. I mean with a real good fencer who's done foil for like 4 years?? I mean I only fence epee back home usually and like, oh man though, it was just wonderful. He did this awesome One and I was like "oh man! good job!" and I wish I had it on tape. *gush gush* ok I'll stop I just have one more thing to say about that bout.

Dear Kevin McMahan,
I was once taught by a man who is over a kabillion x better at fencing then you will ever be how to do a feint. Last night, I did a feint, the kid fell for it and I got the world's most beautiful point.
Therefore, suck it bitch. You wish you had friends.
But you do not.
With hate, Kelly.

Then there was another kid who I will call SabrefencerwhosenameIforgot who looked really sad because no one was sabreing and so I sucked it up and played sabre. It was good, clean fun until MIKE decided to tell this kid that I had been talking smack about sabre (shut up, it sounds dorky but is it my fault sabre sucks? no!) and then the kid beat me soundly and said I did well "for an epeeist" yea, well...shut up you.
Then I played foil with a beginner and he was getting en guard in 5 and I was like "oh no! Mike does Italian!" so I called him over and I was like "Mike, do you do Italian?" (Because I didn't think he was that big of a loser!) and he was like "no" and I was like "um, then why did you teach him to get on guard in 5?" and he was like "what? get on guard" and then the kid did and he was like "why are you doing center guard??" and I was like "no one calls it "center guard"" but its all good. I also told my pommel in the wrist story. It was good times.

*sigh* I miss Steve.

Dear life, Three Masks not HELMETS...yes. Pistol sucks. Also, I have FIVE holes in my glove now!!! (but none in the thumb--panic button...yet...!!) Oh man I love fencing. That's really all there is to say because no one really cares.

Sorry Greg, but everyone knows you can't beat Shawn. That's just the way it is.

Anyway moving swiftly... random occurnces well into the night and then homework with an email from an evil teacher who was worried I had not yet done my homework which is due TOMORROW NIGHT so whatever!!

This morning we had some random 18 year old French boys coming in to talk to us and we had to ask them questions. They make me miss my French home. They also make me angry because a DEAR Frenchboy of mine has been ignoring me so I asuumed it was because he was hard at work at school. Then I remembered today that French Universities don't start until early October. I hate you, Elric. I think I'm going to email him and call him on it. Slutwad. If you don't have any friends don't ignore your only connection to girls. :P Also we did a thing where we got a poster of a place and then pretended one of us lived there and another was a tourist and my partner and I got paired with random like Alpes or Strausbourg and then we traded and got...BRUXELLES!! I freaked out and ranted about how hot it was and then Vincent laughed at me. It was so hot. There was a Flandres flag in the picture. I mean, of course I was going to freak out.

I <3 toooobes = Henri Mannekin-Pis.

Anyway it was a good day except I'm dead tired and even my daily coffee didn't work. So now I'm going to do laundry because I need to wear the same outfit tomorrow as yesterday to finish the movie. Ew.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE HELWIG!!!
Thanks so much to everyone who participated in thie weekend. It was awesome!

Friday I took the train home--I got on the first train and grabbed my cell phone to call my Grandma and then I looked up and right in front of me was my Grandma waving to me! She saved me a seat!! Awwww, Grandma!! So we talked all the way into Buffalo-Depew where my mom picked us up for her birthday! yay!! Aw, the best quotes from my Grandma were "I wouldn't go near Hillary Clinton's house...except to egg it!" and "Yea, they got around and saw a lot of things...well they didn't SEE anything.." (talking about the recent emergency trip to Europe of my blind uncle and aunt) Anyway it was fun. We had food that wasn't from the Dining Hall which was AWESOME and then we had cake and opened presents and then I took a shower and went to bed and it was great. I love being home. I wish everyone was home. That would be sweet.

Saturday I woke up around 10 (the most sleep I've gotten since last time I was home) and called Marie. The two of us decided to go out for breakfast but we couldn't remember anyplace to go (in case any of you haven't been told the Perkins near Hoover is now a Dunkin' Donuts/ Baskin Robbins. What's up with that?? Let's still call it Perkins. Just like BQUICK and Putt Putt and J.Js...does anyone remember JJ's on Rowley??? yay!) so we just went to the Plaka and ate then we wrote a letter to Stuhlmiller (lest he thought for a moment that we might like Cornell more) and we called Christina and KT to go to Condrells but niether one answered, but eventually KT called back. Then it was road trip to Canisuis time to find Kt's dorm (mission: impossible..hahaha Kim remember Mission: Impossible: find a million dollars) then we went to Condrells and we had a lot of fun and got to catch up... let me review...SHUT UP MARIE...."hot just like..." etc... hahah.

Then I drove Marie home and went to pick up my brother at Kim's but while I was pulling into Marie's driveway Chrissy called and she and Matt (or is it Mike? God I'm the world's worst person with names!) had spontaniously decided to road trip to Buffalo and so we met up at Kim's where we talked to Kim's mom and hung out and missed Kim. Then we went home and my Grandma took us out to Shogun. Mmmm...Shogun is awesome.
Then I was dropped off at Mark's and it was dark because losers don't know how to turn on lights?? It was Marie, Mark, Phil, Mike, and Dan Bostaph and then finally Brian and Rob showed up so we attempted to head out to the cottage but it didn't really work so we lost Dan Bostaph and Phil (we only missed Dan Bostaph) :) and then we drove out to Angola...*sigh* I love the Southtowns at like every courner I was like "that's where my Daddy is!!" or "that's where my Daddy went to school!" or "my uncle lives over there!" or "that's where my aunt went right after her wedding as a practical joke to freak out the people and pretend her wedding party was there!" anyway it was fun. We passed my Daddy's work!!!! (More on this topic later!!) Then we made a fire in the sense of "the boys made a fire" and then we hung out and then the boys went in to eat and Marie and I talked some more and then we were afraid that if we let the fire die while they were gone that we would never live it down so we built it up 3 times and finally the guys came out and decided to kill it because they're really big jerks. It was fun though. Except that Mike kept trying to call us "eye candy" and touching us. Ew, Mike! Then we drove home and BEAT THE OTHER CAR SWIFTLY IN THE BUTT WITH OR WITHOUT A TIME MACHINE!!! LIARS!!!

Sunday we went to St. Pauls 10 o clock in hopes of seeing POLSKA but he was not there and I ended up chatting with Greg Della Posta and seeing the families of a lot of people I know but I didn't talk to anyone except Greg because apparently I'm as big a loser at home as I am here!! Then I hung out and did some homework and then we went shopping a little and I saw Alicia again! (but I didn't get to talk to her this week) Then we went to the train station and I rode it back here and got back to my dorm just in time for the floor meeting. woot. not really. Then I wrote essays well into the night. Mmmm..."Globalization and Me" and a stupid essay about a Camerooni family... :(

This morning we started learning about French food and if there's one thing Elric's family taught me was how to eat French-style. It makes me homesick for Tourcoing though... :( Junior year I'm going to be in Strasbourg which is where the SU is in France which is right on the German border which is the wrong border country if you ask me but I checked and its like 5 and a half hours to get home from there...oh well. I'll do it to visit them! And then Elric will CRY. It'll be great! Anyway I'm also the class expert on Quick...I love Belgian Fast Food!! Many awesome French quotes from Quick!!! The best being. "That is not the government homework that is a pair of socks!" Also today Vincent told us about a Japanese Creperie that opened up in Bretagne I think it was that said it was selling "Japanese Crap" it was awesome. My favorite part was when he wrote "Japanese Crap" on the board.

Then I had an hour off in which to drink my iced coffee and write to Liz so I decided to call Mike Helwig so I TMed him and said happy birthday and then he TMed me back saying "Thanks I should be in class but instead I'm sitting in my car" so this interested me so I called him and we had a good 10 minute conversation about how he was skipping in order to sit in his air conditioned car to listen to Shredd and Reagan, watch geese and watch a guy mow the lawn...am I leaving anything out? no. It was awesome. I love Mike. Could he be cooler? Yes. Will he ever have a date? No. Did he really have a hickey? For Gods sake I need to believe no...or the fate of mankind is unknown. But we still love him.

Then I went to global community which I adooooore and we watched a movie about globalization and its effect on Philadelphia. May I add in here that my cousin, Bill Ewing, the Harvard grad is working his way through his Ph.D by being the 24 hour on call science man for the Home Shopping Network. Wow. Just wow.

Then we got out early so Alana and I got bagels at HBC (I got a sour cream and onion bagel) and we hung out on the Quad and then we went to Schine and then we read the paper and went to our classes. New homework group in calc! yay!! other then that it wasn't fun. Except when she was throwing apples at kids for no reason. That was strange.

I then wrote to Liz for an hour on the Quad and then went to WP&C where we watched a movie on the !Kung people which was really interesting and then I came back and got lunch and talked to Kim and that's been my day so far. Its been pretty good and I'm actually enjoying the day. What're the odds of that?

And now for the big news I promised...
Tomorrow at 5pm (so that I can't make it) The Lake Shore Hospital Drug and Treatment Center will be officially renamed....
THE MARK G. COOPER DRUG AND TREATMENT CENTER!!!!!!
After my Daddy!!!!!!! I love my Daddy! I'm so excited! Isn't that awesome??? I'm so sad I can't go but I just think that's really cool. We drove past it because its right near Mark's cottage...yea Silver Creek... and I was like "on Tuesday that'll be my Daddy's Treatment Center!" yay!

This weekend I left my math homework and home and brought my car keys here...that sucks because I hadta redo my math and my mom can't move the car. hahaha. oops. She has another.

I missed Lake Erie. I'm sick of these puny "finger lakes" give me a great lake any day!

Alright. This is long enough. My apologies. Leave me a comment?

Mark said this is my song:

Kick Some Ass

by Stroke 9

How many people wanna kick some ass?

I used to be a nerd
Grew up in the suburbs
Nothing there ever went wrong
I made it up in this song

I talk about the hood
I say stuff like 'it's all good'
Tell people I'm down with all the cool kids downtown
When I've never even been there

How many people wanna kick some ass?
I do I do
And how many people sick of holding it back?
I am
Well I am too

So don't lay another finger on her
She's mine and I still want her
If you put your hands upon her
You're a goner goner

And how many people sick of holding it back?
I am I am
And how many people wanna kick some ass?
I would if I could

But I'm really just a sensitive artist
Perpatrating like I am the hardest

So spin your cap around to the back
You think you rhyme but you can't rap
Loosen that strap a little more
Till your axe hits the floor

Flip off your fans
Make em cheer
Try to look sincere
Anger today's fashion
So sing another song about bashing someone's head in

How many people wanna kick some ass?
I do I do
And how many people sick of holding it back?
I am
Well I am too

So don't lay another finger on her
She's mine and I still want her
If you put your hands upon her
You're a goner goner

And how many people sick of holding it back?
I am I am
And how many people wanna kick some ass?
I would if I could

But I'm really just a sensitive artist
Perpatrating like I am the hardest
Acting like I'm not the smartest
I'm really just a sensitive artist

Awwwww Yeahhhh

So don't lay another finger on her
She's mine and I still want her
If you put your hands upon her
You're a goner goner

And how many people sick of holding it back?
I am I am
And how many people wanna kick some ass?

I said how many people wanna kick some ass?
How many people wanna kick some ass?
Whatcha gonna do when your sick of holding it back?
I think I kick some ass
How many people wanna kick some ass?
I would if I could

But I'm really just a sensitive artist
Perpatrating like I am the hardest
Acting like I'm not the smartest
I'm really just a sensitive artist
Honest

Its like me because sometimes I talk like I'm really mad and I want to kick peoples asses and I say "I hate that person! I hope they die!" but I don't really hurt people or anything. You may say I'm just "eye candy" haha I hate Mike.

I'm still in the love of my life: BUFFALO. I looooove it here, but I'm avoiding homework just like I was in Syracuse. I hafta head back soon and it makes me sad. I'll update about my awesome weekend and how much I love my friends soon.

I love you all!
(and I don't really want to kick your ass!)

ok! Now for getting back on track.

I deeply apologize, Sarah, for leaving you hanging about My Pet Goat. I would like to now paraphraze the book that George W Bush was reading when he found out that planes were attacking the World Trade Center.

"There was a little girl and she had a pet goat. Her dad had a red car. A car robber was going to steal the car. The girl and her goat were playing in the yard, but suddenly the goat sat up, stopped playing, and ran towards the car. The man was bent over trying to steal the car. The goat hit him in the butt with his horns! "OW!" said the car theif. The dad came outside "you were trying to steal my car!" he said. "My goat stopped him!" said the girl. "your goat hit me!" said the car robber. "That's a good goat" said the father, "he can stay here forever and eat all the cans and garbage and capes he wants" [capes??] Then the girl smiled. The dad smiled. The goat smiled. But the car robber didn't smile. He said, "ow" "

Wow, isn't that intense. When they got to the third sentence, Michael Moore was like "what IS this??" and then later he said "what the fuck are you talking to the car thief for???"

Anyway, have I mentioned I am SO SICK of dining hall food?? Because I am.

Yesterday I had the French test and the math test and studied for math all day. Then I took the math test and then I went to the Quad to hang out with fencers. I love fencing! The President, Mike, is making a video (he's in Newhouse) with his friend and they're making a promotional for fencing. Its awesome. So we walked around like awesome fencers and like fenced on stairs and things. It was sweet. Its gonna look really cool. I almost decided to give up college and become a microphone holder for the rest of my life, but then I decided against it because I would probably just hafta like switch colleges or something. Meanwhile...it was really fun. Except, ok do you guys know how the armory in Buffalo probably looks right now?? With the masks everywhere and the jackets everywhere and all that fun stuff? The way it looks when there's a guy armeror (NOT MATT THOUGH! Matt's the best armeror ever--even better then me!! CUTE TEAM FOREVER!! BLUE!)? Anyway I walked in to the SU Armory today and I was like "oh man, there's a guy armeror isn't there?" and Mike was like "we don't really have an armeror" so I decided I'm gonna go in there and clean it up sometime. Like my armorey when I'm gone sometimes just gets awful and sad. If Ian isn't doing a good job then I'm going to kill him. And Dana should break up with him. Oh wait. lol.
There are a couple of problems that make me a little sad. Like, you know how Steve brainwashed us because he's sweet? Well they say "helmets" and "swords". I was like "gah!" hahaha what's the lyric? "Six masks not helmets---and a glove with a hole in the thumb--PANIC BUTTON!" Oh I love fencing! Anyway, it was really fun. We're going to hang out again on Tuesday soooo that was my fencing update.
At least they don't do pistol grippe...oh wait. haha shot down Dana!
Anyway, that made me happy.

so then I went to "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" on the Syracuse Stage. It was SOO depressing. It was soo sad. Never see it. Really really depressing. The guy did, however, call his wife a "putain" so that was cool.

Then I went home all depressed and I got a letter! From Liz!! Thanks Dizzy! You're the BEST! It was sweet and I'll write back.

Then I went online and checked my email and I got a letter from my math professor saying that I did really bad on my math test today and could I come talk to her today? Meeeeeeeeeeerde.

So today I went to WP&C then I got some coffee and headed out. I did really bad, but she wanted to say that she wasn't really upset because I did really really well on certain parts and I didn't get certain other things and that's what the problems were. She said there were some kids who got that grade who she wanted to switch out, but she wasn't upset at me or anything. That was good. I just need a new homework group, so I'm cool with that.

Then I had global community which ALWAYS cheers me up. I love you, global community!

Oh man, unsolved mysteries is on DVD right now and I want it. For Christmas I need them, a new Epee, and a sabre. Got it? thanks.

Then I went to calc which was not fun, but I really know my derivatives so it was easy which was good. gaaaahhh I hate calc.

And here I am now.
And I'm going home today because its my Mommy's birthday and my Grandma's coming too and its going to be sweet. If you're here then have fun white water rafting tomorrow and if you're not then have a good weekend unless you're at home in which we will HANG OUT THIS WEEKEND. Thank GOD!!

sorry this was boring. I'm really tired and angry and I cannot WAIT to get home.

(I don't really hate it here!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISSY!!! I love my XDILLY! :)

OK well I hafta leave in 20 minutes for my math exam and I've been studying hard core for a couple hours now so I've decided to take a break because my brain is pretty fried. Also, Unsolved Mysteries is on.
The Question of the day is: do you think that it is possible for someone to live on Poptarts alone? It is obvious to me that if you said no then you either don't know me or you are not a college student, or both, in which case...why are you reading this?
Mmmmm...poptarts.
Moving on, last night we went to see Michael Moore speak in the Dome. It was AWESOME. There were these ghetto anti-Moore pro-Bush protestors and it was really funny. I took a picture of them. Did they really think they would like stop us? We just laughed. Anyway it was really great. He made some really good points. He said some really nice things about Repbulicans as a whole, he said some really mean things about Bush, but he also said some really mean things about Kerry...all around it was Anti-Bush and it was FUNNY!! We got to see some previously unreleased footage of children in Iraq and things. He also spoke up about his friend Ralph Nader and how he supported him at first making him promise not to campaign in swing states then when Gore didn't allow him in the debate then Nader got mad and started campaigning in the swing states at which point he lost backing by people like Michael Moore, who also pleaded with him to not run this time. Grrrr...ok anyway. I think one of the most amazing facts of the night was the fact that right after September 11th, the FBI was going through gun records trying to see if any of the hijackers had bought guns in the past year, and when John Ashcroft (you may recall John Ashcroft as the man behind the Patriot "I'll take away anyone's rights if I feel like it" Act) found out he DID NOT ALLOW THE FBI ACCESS TO THE GUN FILES OF THE HIJACKERS OF 9/11!! The FBI is STILL NOT ALLOWED TO even though they KILLED 3000 PEOPLE!!!!!!!!
wow.
Also, he was talking about something I believe (and have before I heard him speak) that if Bush doesn't hafta worry about reelection then he will do things we don't even want to imagine....least of all bringing back the draft. I don't know about you, but I don't feel like being drafted and I really don't want my friends or my brother or my cousins getting drafted either. God, I really hate that man.
Moore was saying how recently some bootlegged copies of Farenheit 9/11 have shown up on the streets of Baghdad and paused to say "I don't know how they got there"...he stopped looked away and covered his face with his hat and said "God I hate copyright laws!" haha it was amazing. Anyway, he gave up a chance at an Oscar to try to get the documentary on TV before Election Day and is hopeful it will air (with some of the added footage we saw) November 1st. He also is having a book of letters written to him from soldiers in Iraq published. He told us to read it, and if we hafta buy it to photocopy it and give it to undecided voters. I suppose the highlight for me was when he read to us the surprisingly brutal "My Pet Goat" which is the book George Bush was reading to the chlidren when he found out that planes had just struck the World Trade Center in NY. The book was crazy! I'll tell you about it later but I hafta go.
Hahah, it was a really great talk.
It really was.
And afterwards I got to see Marie which was SOOOO great. Sadly, I didn't get to see her for long because I had to run back to a hall meeting which I never found which really sucked.
My French test sucked too. I haven't had a French test in 2 years! (Exams are not tests--do you realize how hard it would be to NOT get 100 with Madame???) (I LOVE MADAME THOUGH!!) But I will NEVER write about my house in French again.
Just so you know.
So never like, walk up to me and be like 'hey Kelly! Write about your house in French!' cuz I will slap you. Honest to God!

on a bizarre side note...Happy Birthday Mr. Herb....if only you weren't dead.

Real Update Later!!

riss me im asian: HAHAHHAHAHHA OMG...you and harry potter are going to get it on one of these days!

hahaha, hi Sarah. hi Katie!

NOT THAT HARRY POTTER!!! GOD! EWW!

Wow, that makes 3 days in a ROW I've been happy! What's that all about? Oh wait. I know.

Ohhhhhh man, Gary Trudeau was AWESOME last night. He is my HERO. He was hilarious and awesome and I agree with him politically which is alllways a plus. I like the fact that he asked every Presidential candidate in 1996 who their favorite Beatle was. Oh man, how sweet is that?! He also wrote his Obituary for us. It was hilarious. After reaching the pinnicle of his comic-writing career at the prestegous Syracuse Symposium, he became disillusioned and quit his job when the US simultaniously invaded Syria and France. He then showed up unannounced at a NY Knicks tryout and became known as "White Lightening". He wrote a book with Spike Lee called "Your mother" and a sequel "your sister". Anyway, his talk was really awesome. I really wish you had been there, Liz!!! I thought of you the whole time. Anyway, Gary Trudeau was saying how he doesn't get out, but he's recently been doing a tour of college campuses with his son who's starting college next August. Wow, how COOL would it be to be his son?? Apparently his son doesn't share his love but its all good. Anyway, seriously have you gone to Doonesbury.com? Because you need to.

Also you need to check out Liz's blog and find out about her and Economics man because it really is the best thing ever.

Today we had a really bad French quiz and then Professor Rupert gave the speech at Lecture this morning, but it was ONCE AGAIN about comparative advantage and even he couldn't save it. Then I got coffee and a muffin and did calc homework. Talk about fun! And then I went to calc class! Where we have a test tomorrow! Oh man, how fun! But not really. And then I went and met up with some College Democrats who gave me a free Bushisms calender, talking points for talking to Repubs, stickers that say College Democrats and two really hot bumper stickers that say "Be a smart ass: vote democrat!" They just liked me because I was wearing a Kerry shirt (its a hurling jersey from the Irish province of Kerry! It just happens to say Kerry on it...) Sometimes I like going to expensive schools because you get a lot of free stuff. Also I like going to a liberal campus where we can sell 50,000 tickets to see Michael Moore. I also like saying that I am an orange.

if my 7th grade self could meet me now, I would kill myself. (fruit power!)

Anyway then I read on the Quad and went to the world's most boring anthro class. It made me sad inside. Actually, it just made me sleeeeepy.

But that doesn't mean I'm not in a REALLY GOOD MOOD!! MARIE PUCCIO IS COMING TO VISIT ME IN 3 SHORT HOURS AND THEN IT WILL JUST BE HER, ME, MICHAEL MOORE, and 50,002 of our closest friends!!! :))

this was kinda pointless, but Gary Trudeau is hot and Michael Moore will be SWEET tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:)

Tuesday, September 21, 2004

Wow, two happy entries in a row! What's going on here??

Made a new friend today! The good news: he doesn't drink, party, etc. likes to sit on computer and IM, democrat, likes Michael Moore, fencing club VP, believes in foil before advanced weapons...very cool.

the bad news? :( he thinks sabre's cool :( and....this is too horrible to say..
his name isn't Matt if you get my drift...aka last year he was on Day 3...if you get my drift. If you don't then I'll give you a hint. I can name 5 boys on campus. Three are named Matt. They go to Syracuse Unversity like normal, God-fearing humans. The other two are Paul Kenline and Jordan.

(if you're still confused...he's an ESF student)

But luckily he's a bio major, which is a decent major and he thinks that a wildlife major "studies ducks and swamps" for a living. I seriously should just ask Jordan.

Speaking of whom, I saw him today!! He was riding his bike past me, but was late for class and couldn't stop.

I went to buy Michael Moore tickets today for Marie and the Genneseeo College Democrats but they were sold out...this caused me major pain. Then it turns out her College Democrats leader person has friends in high places here and she GOT THEM TICKETS!! SO MARIE'S COMING TOMORROW!! Under one condition...we hand out flyers...but then again, we might get to meet Michael Moore!! Sweeeeeeet...

Speaking of awesome....everyone must go to Liz's blog RIGHT NOW (or at least when she updates) to hear about her AWESOME AWESOME day and what she did, just to let everyone know...she is SO HOT.

I am now off to dinner and then to see...GARY TRUDEAU!!!! I wish Liz was HERE NOW!

Go to Doonesbury.com. You'll like it!

Update:
That's it, we're all going back to junior year.
Everything exactly as it was.
And you're not allowed to argue.

*sigh* good times are back again!!!

shit. it didn't work.

Well, I'm back to "happy" on the rollar coaster that is my life.

No doubt about it though, Friday SUCKED. I spent most of it doing impossible math problems and crying and missing people and being sad that my computer was having serious issues and then I ended up spending most of the night helping my computer run a virus scan, which, for your information, is still running. It has caught 37 viruses so far.

Dear Internet Explorer,
I hate you, you suck, now die.
Kelly

Then Saturday I woke up at 6:45 (I went to bed at 1 after giving up on my web works) and headed over to the Dome. We had "your right to know" training about how there may be "toxic chemicals" in the "Carrier Dome" which might "mame or kill us" except that there "aren't really" and even the "guy" knew it. Then we had "I'm Smart" training on how to spot a fake ID, who to sell beer to and who not to sell beer to, and stuff like that. I was dead tired and almost fell asleep. Then we headed over to the Dome where I went to sell beer because I sell beer for a living. Also, I am 18. Also, my school is the only one on the East Coast that sells alcohol on its campus (we put the party in party school) and also we're only allowed to sell the alcohol if we are highered by the school. I repeat, I'm 18 and I sell beer for my school.

Then I came back here and did homework--ORANGE BEAT CINCINNATI 19-7!!!-- and I did my laundry because I smelled like beer and then I took a shower. Then Becca called and her, Alexis, Jenn, Jenn, Vince, and I went to the mall to go see "Cellular". It was a good movie, but it was really annoying to watch. You know the movies where its too annoying to sit through it you just want to leave but you can't because you want to know what happens. That's this movie. Then we ran all the way through the mall to catch the bus just in time. It was funny. Then I went straight to bed.

Sunday, like all days, I woke up early, but this time I went to church where we practiced and then we went to play Mass at the Italian Festival in downtown Syracuse! It was really fun and really cold! (they said it was my initiation haha) anyway I was happy to be playing Mass again and playing my guitar again. Sadly I need to recalous my fingers because I'm lame and haven't played guitar is 17 kabillion years (or about 2 months) but it was really fun. Even if my fellow guitarist (my "Becky" if you will) would make up random intros to songs that he apparently pulled out of no where causing me to become extremely confused and try to follow his fingers and thus making me make faces and thus making people (Julia, the head of Echo, the church band) laugh at me. (Technically, laugh at my face)Then we ate at the Italian festival...I got an eclaire....shut up. It was good anyway. Then I came back here to do homework and then I went to the floor meeting, which was conviently placed at the exact same time as the Hall meeting as Matt B and I found out when we went downstairs only to see all the Hall officers leaving. Then I went to Echo practice and came back to do homework until well into the night.

Unfortuanatly, I did not, technically, do the RIGHT French homework and henceforth squirmed my way through the class. Then he didn't collect it. Sweet. Then I went for Iced Coffee from Dunkin Donuts and read for global community.
**shout out to AP "this is a real class" American class of 2003** Today my global community book went into great detail for about a page and half about why America had to "prime the pump". This caused me to laugh hysterically in the middle of the lounge for a good 5 minutes. Oh Herb, why do you exist??
Anyway then I went to global community which was good times as usual.
Then I went back to Schine to read for WP&C and then I went there where we started discussion on the Ja/'haousi (pronounced: The Ja*click*throusi or something like that) and he went really fast and I couldn't write down all the notes and it was sad.
Then I went back to Schine to shop for some stuff and I headed back here.

And now for the random facts of the day:

-Kenmore West--the new ghetto??? Fact: drive by shooting happened there?? Will anyone with information please tell me?? I'm really confused!

-Marie is coming to visit me on Wednesday to see Michael Moore! She wasn't going to but then her College Democrats are having a road trip to come here and she's coming and I'm SO EXCITED!

-Tomorrow Gary Trudeau is coming to speak (he's the author of Doonesbury) and I'm really excited about that too.

-I really really hate calculus

-sometimes conversations make me sad. other times conversations make me happy. Never you mind what that means.

-ACTION ALERT- ESF (School of Environment and Forestry) STUDENTS ARE TAKING OVER OUR LIVES. Today, a kid in my math class opened the door for me and then proceeded to talk to me :( and then....I noticed that his skateboard had a sign that said...yes...ESF.

-Will someone please tell me what one does as a wildlife major??

-OINK! :)

-I am now going to be posting blog entries in my livejournal to see which gets more responses.

I know seriously need to do homework. Leave a comment please! Thanks:)

Happy Rosh Hashanah1
Happy Birthday Taz!! :)

Under usual circumstances, I would be very happy it was Friday...except that I hate it here.

ok, that's a lie. I don't hate it HERE...I just hate it...here.
I know that clarifies everything.
I HATE the people here, I HATE not having any friends, I HATE not having anything to do this weekend, I HATE the thought of spending my Friday night doing homework and then going to bed early (actually...I'm really tired so that's not the worst thing ever...) and I HATE most of all not being with my friends.
I miss you guys so much.
And while most of you have your friends you're going to hang out with, I know you haven't forgotten about me but today I was playing Spades on my phone and I almost started crying because I really want to just call everyone up and have us go hang out and play cards just like old times.
Merde.
Becca just came back so I can't cry. She'll be gone all night too...which leaves me with nothing to do and no one to hang out with. Maybe I'll e-mail Alana and see if she wants to do something. That would be cool.
This is a list of things I want that are the reason I'm crying:
+I want my Daddy back more then anything else in the world
+I want my friends back
+I want friends
+I want to understand calc
+I want something else that I'm not gonna say in a public blog
and...yea. Basically I'm not having a good day. Its really dumb because I'm so bipolar! I'm like today's a good day, today's a bad day, today I cried all day, today I was happy. Its really annoying. I'm sorry. Gahhh.

In good news, Matt Finley of the Daily Orange has a new article out today:
Robot Encounters May, May not, Induce Death
by Matt Finley

Well played, you ingenious ruffian! You discovered a robot. But don't send it to protect John Conner just yet! First, follow this helpful guide to ensure that you maximize the amount of fun and sterility that you and your new best friend can cause:

The first thing you must do upon discovering an alleged robot is ensure that it is, in fact, a robot. There are enough discarded 2XLs and perplexing feminine hygiene products out there to confound even the most seasoned explorer. If you are unsure how to gauge an object's robot-ness, use the simple checklist below.

The thing I found is:

a)________ Not A Robot
b) ________ A Robot

Answer Key:

- For every time you answered a) give yourself a point.
- For every time you answered b) give yourself two points.

1 Point - Sorry, the thing you found is not a robot.
2 Points - Good job! You found a robot (or something that isn't a robot twice).
3 or more points - You're either drunk or you found a Transformer. Either way, congratulations!

Once you are sure that what you've found is a robot, or are too drunk to care either way, you must determine whether or not the robot is hostile. To do this, kick it about what resembles its face. Are you dead? Good. That means the robot is not hostile. Or that it's biding its time before shrinking itself down, entering your body through your anus while you sleep and whispering unconstructive criticism to your prostate for the next 50 years, resulting in erectile indecision and an apathetic bladder*. Before moving on, be sure to apologize, or kick it again, which ever feels more natural.

You'll now need to know what its name is. You can either scour its body to see if it's written anywhere (like a yogurt-slurping loser) or name it yourself (like a GoGurt-chugging rock star). Below is a list of good robot names:

* Killbot
* Killbot 200
* Roboid
* Deathotron
* Roboid Deathotron 200
* Killbot 300

Once your robot has a name, you must determine its function. Every robot is designed for a purpose, whether to perform a physical or mental task more efficiently than human workers or grant sexual favors to a lonely inventor. Oftentimes, a robot's function is described in its name. For instance, a robot built to peel bananas might be called "Bananabot." This name not only implies what the robot does but is also a clever lampoon of the brand name "Banana Boat." Conversely, a robot named "Lumbetron" that tells degrading stories about oft-flaccid, diminutive genitals was probably designed for cutting down trees before dating me for six months in 2002. So, let's say your robot's name is "Killbot." Obviously, it was made for killing. "Deathotron?" Yeah, that's for killing, too. But what about "Roboid?" Also killing. If your robot isn't killing anything, I guess you should see if it'll peel some bananas. Short of that, kick it until it does something awesome.

The next step is to customize. It's up to you whether you want to get dinosaur stencils or just bedazzle the mechanical fuck out of it, but no matter what you choose be sure it reflects you as an individual and to ask permission before using the scissors.

Top secret decorating tip: macaroni can be used to make eyebrows that are both affordable and delicious.

Step #6: Initiate revenge sequence!
Good luck and enjoy your marvel of modern technology!

*If you're a girl it probably does some whack shit to your poonanner.

I like him. He's funny. Anyway, I just remembered I don't have Alana's e-mail address so I hafta hope Maurri calls (I could never replace you, Rie!) and if she doesn't maybe I'll email her. Rah. Or else I'll watch some tv and go to bed early.
I start work in the morning! I have "I'm Smart" training and then I'm working the SU/Cinncinati game and its gonna be a party. Go Orange!

Today was another good day!

I went to French, which was fun except for the random quiz...grr...oh well. It wasn't bad, and I got my scores back from the last quiz, which I aced so sweet.

Then Maurri invited me to go out to breakfast with her at Sadler which was fun. Now I've been to four dining halls. I'm so mad sweet. The food was good, and the place wasn't as ghetto as B & B--it was just way taller. Maurri's cool, she called me today (whenever the phone rings in our dorm room, odds are its her) and maybe we'll do something this weekend. Sweet. Friends!!

Then I came back here to watch...ICELANDIC TV!!! YAY JANET!! Everyone, at 10:30 AM you NEED to get your TVs to Nickaloedan and check out Lazytown. Its awwwwwwesome.
Do it.

I went out to eat with some kids from my Freshman Forum. It was Professor Bradley, Alana, Nicola from New Orleans (if she wanted to, she could go feed alligators! I was like "sometimes...we feed ducks.") and um, the boy...who works at Hollister and Abacrombie at the mall. There were supposed to be two others but they didn't show. It was good times. We went to a restaurant off Marshall St. which was a secret disco party. It was really funny. I laughed. Ok, that was a lie. Shut up.

Then I went back here and watched Unsolved Mysteries. It made my life.

Then I went to Calc recitation where we had a test. I did really bad. I really hate calc. A lot. I looooooove all my classes. Except Calc. But I walked down with a girl from my floor who's pretty cool. She doesn't like mosta the people on the floor either and sometimes I see her and talk to her. Like when she's working at the dining hall. lol. Anyway the best part was by far when we were talking and I was like "oh, wanna hear a funny story? There's a kid here who went to my middle school! Isn't that random?" and she was like "oh! who is it?" and I was like "the kid Paul that she always calls on" and she was like "the surfer looking kid?" and I was like "yea, Paul, he's from Buffalo" and she was like "Surfer Boy's from BUFFALO???" ahhaha it was awesome. Then when he walked into class I looked at her and she was like "Surfer!!" and it was funny. That time I really did laugh.

Then I came back here, did homework, got yucky dinner (my first meal by myself today) and then I did more homework and then went to a...WORLD YOUTH DAY MEETING!!!
*all the memories come rushing back. Lordy me!!* COLOGNE 2005!! SHOUT OUT! Anyone? Anyone? Toronto 2002?? Ohhhh man. Did I mention that when I went to Vielle Lille with Elric's mom and grandma and my mom then we were walking across the street (the one going from Le Musee des Beaux-Arts to the Grand Place de Vielle Lille where there's that big monument and the stores and stuff) and there was a person crossing the street and they had this maroon strap going down their chest...and bag and I turn to my mom and I was like "I think that's a world youth day bag!!" and so we started crossing...and it was!!! But I don't speak French and like Elric's mom and grandma like took off and I didn't get a chance to say anything. But it was random. And cool. Oh yes, and Jordan was there. Jordan and I are partying it upppp in Germany and Switzerland this August. word.

Tell me again about the time that Greg Della Posta made it into the school play?

Wednesday, September 15, 2004

So Becca had band tonight and so I watched the Simpsons for the first time in a month *sighs of happiness* and then I went down to dinner (to go) and the first person I see when I get there? Uh yea, Paul Kenline with a table full of friends. Soooo this didn't make me feel better so I came back and I called my XDILLY!! and talked to people on her party floor and then went to work on my Systeme D French homework and then Greg Kaufman IMed me!! It was so exciting and awesome. It was really nice of him!!

Anyway, that kinda made my day because I live a sad sad existence. The rest of today was good though I guess. For French we didn't really do much (can you imagine?) we pretty much just played on the computer and hung out. Vincent said some really funny things, but I have forgotten them. Good story, Kelly.

Then I had global community lecture (the worst part of global community) and we got assigned our projects and the Canadian guy talked again and it was mostly about Comparative Advantage and junk I already knew so it was boring...as usual.

Then I went for coffee at Dunkin Donuts in Schine and finished my book for W P&C and then I went to Calc which was horribly boring and I wanted to kill myself as usual. Actually I understood it so I didn't die.

Then I hung out and read the paper in the quad and wrote a letter to Dana and then I went to World People and Cultures which was good, and random because I answered two questions! And its like a big, aud, class--200 people or something. Its really easy though--if you read the book, you know what he's talking about plus the answers probably on the power point. Then one time he asked a question and he was looking around near me and I subconsiously shook my head...and he looked right at me and was like "why not?" so I assumed he was talking to someone behind me who had raised their hand and he was like "I see you shaking your head--why not??" and so I realized it was me and since it said in the notes "NO POINTING" and he said "would they point at someone?" that the answer was "They don't point" and he was like "yes! thank you!" and I was like "oh man, that was random." Never mind. It was scary when it happened.

Then I came back here to do homework, and we all know how well THAT turned out. Oh well, I had some good chats with good people--some of whom really needed to talk. Plus, when Dana IMed me she was more interesting then my French homework and that's really what got me started in the first place.

And now, I would like to tell you, for my brother, that Al Doyle is sweet.
He's also on the brochure.

And now, because Matt Finley of the Syracuse University Daily Orange is sweet, an article I just found that he wrote, because he is my hero:

For the last time, I'm not a vampire! I'm sick of being shunned by blood banks and whore houses. I'm tired of having school children peg me in the face with garlic bread and confused old men shoot me in the chest with silver bullets. How can I pay for sex if I can't sell my blood? How can I gain admittance to a respectable brothel with a head full of crumby butter and a chest packed with hot silver? That's right, I can't! Yup, I bite five women and suddenly the whole city is accusing me of being a vampire. Syracuse? More like Salem-cuse! Yeah, I'm really glad we live in a democracy! This is really totally super awesome. (Oh, by the way, that's sarcasm...I actually don't like being prematurely judged as a marauding, blood-thirsty, undead night-walker.)

Not only is your fear of vampirism unwarranted, it's completely irrational! The vampire attack rate in our country is currently at an all-time low. Last year, more than 93% of all deaths associated with vampiritic activity later proved to be a result of werewolves or escaped vampire robots from Ohio's notoriously irresponsible vampire robot corporation, Vampco. And my fleshy, baby-soft genitals prove that I'm not a robot. Even if real vampires were roving the countryside drinking blood, loitering and stealing away the females in our lives, I wouldn't be one of them!

Vampires can play the violin. Do you know how much I can't play the violin? So much that I had to look up the word "violin" in the dictionary. So much that I had to look up words in the definition of "violin" in a scratch-and-sniff children's dictionary. A "violin" is an "instrument." Also it has "strings." Vampires also seduce virgin girls. I can't seduce a girl! My doughy complexion, patchy facial and dorsal hair, chronic bacne, and violin incompetence make it difficult to get close enough to identify a person's gender. Much less drug them. Much, much less seduce them. Plus, if I were a vampire I could turn into a bat. Bats are the ultimate sonar machines! I'd be bouncing sonic vibrations off all kinds of stuff. And when I got big enough, I'd eat a bird. Yeah, you read that right. Basically, if I had the oiled hair and hulking member of a Transylvanian count, I'd be eating solid gold Chex mix and dating Frankenberry, not drawing substandard editorial cartoons for a hack college newspaper.

But hey, let's just assume all you accusatory Jenny McCarthys are right, and I am a vampire. All you liberal types march down to the blood drive twice a day to hand your blood over to little Timmy, with his brain full of cancer and his mouth full of waweepops because "he needs it to live." Well, guess who else needs blood to live (besides you...)? Vampires! They don't drink your blood because it tastes like rainbows and unicorn semen. They drink it because they need it! Hey, here's a moral conundrum to ponder. What if Mr. Vampire Jones got in a car accident and lost eleven quarts of blood? Do you help him then? Huh? Just because he was drunk and swerved off the road and killed the oldest maple tree in Onondaga County? Is that when you help him? I'm so tired of all your hypocritical double standards and stingy blood-handling. Don't be a blood Scrooge!

But hey, again, I'm not a vampire. And thank god I'm not, because I don't think I could live in this bigoted, selfish world. I'd have to construct a small pod to venture into the deepest space, where there would be no one to judge me but stars and the Predator. God bless you, Predator, for your constant support and supple chest armor.

P.S. I'm still not a vampire.

He's my hero. Dave Barry + bitterness + his soul is orange.

Comments? (I have more awesome Matt Finelys if you'd like them! :) )

Mmmmm....happiness :)

French this morning--I love France, and I think I did well on the test.
Did nothing most of the day. I got April Bunny and some screwdrivers in the mail :)
Freshman Forum--lasted about 15 minutes and during those 15 minutes I decided to spent my junior year in the SU abroad which offer International Relations--what?? That's only France??? Ooookay :)
Then Alana and I went to starbucks and I got a carmel frap. Then I bought some cards (Clergy Appreciation Day is coming up!) and tape.
Then I went back here to do nothing and set up my tv.
Becca and I ordered Chinese because I'm sick of dining hall food and now I'm watching tv and eating it.

And then Chelsea IMed me and we talked. YAY!

Yummm....82 channels. Word.

Updates:

Paul Kenline is indeed in my math class. He goes to ESF. Just like Jordan!

Nate Bell goes to Canisuis and has joined the ROTC. That's right, you heard it here close to first, Nate Bell defending our country. Nate Bell.

(Special thanks to KT for imput on the second fact. NO thanks so Ria on the first!)

Heeeeey. Didja miss me?
Yea, so I had a really good weekend. It was only TOO SHORT.
Friday I took the train home, but it was an hour late so I got home around 10:30.
I want to tell you about this book I'm reading for the best class ever, global community. Its called "The Choice: A Fable of Free Trade and Protectionism" and I think that you all should read it. The basic plot is that the economist who invented comparative advantage (David Ricardo)is forced to be a "wanderer" and is not allowed into Heaven until his economic platforms are put into use. Finally, in 1960 he is allowed to spend one night on Earth to talk someone into using his ideas so that they will become mainstream and then he will be given his wings. He spends the night taking this man around time showing him how life would be in 2000 if there was a protectionist president and if not and telling him all about economic principles. Its insane. Its completely nuts. Its hilarious, and I want to send it to Cornell when I'm done. Its seriously the craziest book ever written (not to be confused with the craziest movie ever: that Belgian Downs Syndrome movie we watched in French last year! With the singing mouse???)
Anyway. Its completely crazy. That's what I read at the station. The night before I left I had a dream that Taz died, when I saw him (alive) Friday night I was so happy, and so happy to be home that I cried. I miss my puppy.
Saturday morning I got my hair cut and then I went shopping for dorm stuff I needed. Then I went over to the McCabe house and Kim and I hung out just like old times! She's so cute! Then Brian and I went to the UB/SU game which was awesome. SU won (Thank God!) 37-17. We were seated on the UB side, but I was decked out in my orange. I have orange pride. Both teams didn't play well, but SU got some cheating touchdowns and won it (even without those though, we would have probably won...our kicker is sweet.) It was good times. We saw Tim Lindner, Elias Reden, and Joe there. DO was also there, but I didn't get a chance to see him. Instead he called me and we chatted. yea cuse! GO ORANGE. haha, ok I'm done. Elias was like "um, Kelly? Why are you wearing Syracuse colors?" and I was like "because I go there!" and he was like "oh, ok" lol. Then Brian and I met up with Christina and Kim at Fuddruckers which is gooooooood hamburgers! It was awesome company as well---I MISSED YOU GUYS! I STILL MISS YOU GUYS!! I MISS THE PEOPLE WHO WEREN'T THERE TOOOOOO!! But highlights included:
"is it a jawbreaker or a gum ball?" "MERPGHH!!!"
"Oh! That's what I had to tell Brian!" *jumps up, runs across the restaurant waving her arms and screaming BRIIIIAAAAAN!!! BRIIIAAAN!!!" Brian then gave her a funny look, upon which she noticed she had done something funny and couldnt stop laughing enough to tell him.
"SHWOMP!" (back 15 yards)
REAL MEN WEAR ORANGE!
Sucky!
Velaceraptor "Brian, I'll always be your veloceraptor" (this was only tainted for me because I have a long standing hatred/fear of velocorapters...ew...)
and of course...spitting. lol.
and then we went to Brian's house and there there was more funnyness (note to Steve, we will talk soon!!)
"Brian you made me hurt myself with your nerdiness!"
God I miss having you guys around. And I miss laughing. And I miss youuuuuu!!!!!

Sunday I got to sleep in and go to the 11:30. I saw Laura and FC! After Mass I hooked up with Mrs. Seel, Janet, and Dominic (and Luke and Mia!) and then my mom, Mrs. Seel, Janet and I went to Manhatten Bagel...yay Janet is awesome!!

Then my mom and I went shopping, packed, and headed back here. I didn't want to come back. I hate most of the people here and I'm more homesick then EVER. But things hopefully will get better soon. I have a tv...once I find a screwdriver I will try to make it work and then I can actually use it! I cried and my mom left. Then I went to Echo practice which was actually really fun even though Jordan didn't come. Then I talked to Kim, Liz, and Dana!

I left April Bunny at home because I am a moron. My mom's sending her and hopefully she'll get here tomorrow. Its horrible.

Today I had French and it was pretty fun as usual. We had a franchophone come in so we could ask her questions. She spent a year in Belgium so I asked where and it was some random German place I don't care about and Vincent was like "Kelly has been to Belgium" and she was like "oh! where?" and I was like "Bruxelles et Bruges!" and she was like "Ah, Bruges" and we both sighed with love for Bruges. I wonder if she speaks Flemish.

Then I found out the key to college--iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts. I drank it and finished the assigned reading in "The Choice" (and of course used orange highlighter)
then I went to the best class in the world: global community.
We were there early so we got to talking, I love the people in that class because they're all so interesting! There's 10 of us- 5 boys and 5 girls. Most of us are IR majors and its just awwwwwesome. Even if we have started talking about economics. I really wish we had read "The Choice" last year--it explains economics in real language and it makes sense. Plus its really funny. Its a stupid story. I love it.

MK kid update!!!!!--- he was born in Zimbabwae! Both of his parents were too!! (I repeat, he is a blonde hair, blue eyed white boy) and he goes there "All the time" and he recommends it and thinks we should all go there!! He also had a black eye today. And...he fascinates me. Who does that? Why is he here? I don't know!!

Then sadly, it ended and I hadta go to the worst class ever, calc. Crazy Amish guy was gone and crazy professor Doer was back. It made me sad inside.

Paul Kenline update--- the kid who reminds me of Paul Kenline's name is Paul! Does ANYONE know if Paul Kenline goes to Syracuse??? I did a directory searching for "Kenline" and there was one of them--a Paul! An ESF student. Maybe I should ask Jordan!! lol.

Then I went shopping and read the papers (does anyone understand the comics of their school paper? is it just me? is it just SU? what?) and then I went to World People and Cultures Lecture where we watched a movie and only took some notes. It was grand.
Then I ate lunch, and now I'm going to do homework.
Maybe.

I MISS AND LOVE YOU ALLLLLL!
Leave me comments? Please?

Today's turning out to be a good day!

Yesterday wasn't really a good day. I was kind of bitter because people here aren't always the nicest aka I kinda hate my floor but its all good. I complained to Liz and Dana online and that made it better. Thanks guys! :) Then Becca and Alexis came back from band and...we went Salsa dancing!!! It was so crazy! I danced with Marielle (sp?) from Shaw 1 and then I danced with Alexis but we couldn't really get the turn so we went for extra help and I got paired with some guy. Sadly, he was a waaaaay better salsa dancer then me...and his butt shook way more then mine. Marielle danced with a guy who was wearing a skirt...and I don't think it was a kilt.

At 8:30 I had World People and Cultures...quite a party, but too early to actually be nice or fun. Then I went to the gym to see if I could go white water rafting, but there weren't any more openings and then I got at ticket to go see Micheal Moore (it would be wierd if I had to work that day instead, but I think Ill be ok) and then I got a paper and a sandwich and some coffee--WHEEEE! at Shine and read it. Then I got a copy of the Daily Orange and read it...have I mentioned that I am in love with the author of that Oregon Trail article?? (Obviously his name is Matt) and then I went to my favoritest class in the world: Global Community.

Global Community recitation is the best class and I wish it lasted for much longer then it does. Its awesome and so interesting and its wonderful. I love it so much!
But here are some awesome quotes from the class by my teacher:

"Its wierd how the erasers are vertical like that-Easter Island style. Its like people come in here and worship the erasers sometimes"- Prof. Rupert

"Its not just out there-its in bed with us! It touches us in a very intimate way!"- Prof. Rupert about the effect of globalization on sex.

"Wow! We're a microcasm!"- Prof. Rupert about how half of his childhood friends have gotten divorced just like the statistic

"I guess I'm in story mood today, Yea so for our anniversary we decided to go to this special restaurant and it was $175 a person and our daughter wasn't going to touch any of it so we thought that was really expensive...the point? Well, I guess there wasn't really a point to that story..." - the professsor

"*holding up an African wood carving of a cell phone* I couldn't think of any glocalization relics and then this was sitting on my desk saying uuuuuse me...uuuuse me as an example! I guess its not a very good example, but its an example, and it really wanted me to use it!"- the prof

(to this MK boy said "I have the same thing made out of (some kind of) rock!")
(he also said "I spend most of my summers in Africa, so I was talking to the head of democracy in Africa..."
He's the most random guy in the world!)

Professor Rupert also went into a really big rant about how he hates it when people make up words like "glocalization" and "grobalization" He was like "what IS that? Who cares?? I can't even SAY it!!" It was great. I personally liked it in the book when it said "glovalization and grobalization are just what they sound like" I was like "that doesn't even make any sense.

Anyway, then I went to calc and on the way there I was praying that I'll get the random Amish guy and I did! Prof. Doer is still out of town! yay! So I'm really excited. haha shot down her, but I like Prof. crazy Amish guy better.

Random question: does anyone remember Paul Kenline? Does anyone know where he goes to school because there's this kid in my math class who reminds me of him even though I don't think I've seen Paul Kenline in like 6 years but this kid reminds me of him some how...I don't even know if he went to West? I don't know...but if anyone happens to know the answer that would be really random and wierd. Its still really wierd. Whatever.

The moral of the story is...I'M GOING HOME TONIGHT!!!
I am SOOOOOOO excited! My train was supposed to leave at 4 but my train was cancelled??? So I hafta LEAVE at 7 which is when I was supposed to be home, which makes me really mad. But whatever. I won't complain when I actually get to go home.
So that's mad sweet.
And I'm sooo happy. I'll be back here Sunday afternoon for Daymocracy and the Echo practice. Good times. *sigh* I can't wait to go home!!!

Peace out and please leave me comments??

I started thinking in calc today (wow!) about how my TA is Mr. Cornell's exact opposite. The TA's young, has a full head of hair, and he wears sneakers (instead of shiny shoes). Also he pretends to be the nicest, funniest, warmest guy...but deep down he's pure evil.

I don't think I did well on that pop quiz.

The Day I got Two Free Orange Highlighters which are hot.
Howdy!
Well I don't really have much to say. I've basically been going to class and doing homework for the past couple days.
French is really fun. I really like our teacher--he's really funny and very French. It reminds me of my French home and that always makes me happy. Yesterday we were practicing our "ou" sounds and our tongue position--luckily I did it right. The girl next to me didn't do it right and the teacher was like "have you ever kissed anyone??" and she was like, mortified, and said "yes!" and he said "well pretend you're kissing!" it was intensly funny. Then some guy couldn't do it right either so the teacher was like "maybe you two should get together to work on your homework!" it was great. Then I went back and did homework for about 1,000 hours (apparently there was a typo and I didn't hafta do all that French. That did not make me happy.) Then I went to Freshman Forum which is a real class as measured in doughnuts, movies, and spending most of the time trying to make dates for us all to go out to eat together. We also learned that hate is bad. Then I went to Starbucks (freshman forum is in the Marshall Square Mall right behind Starbucks) and I got a Strawberry and Creme and called Dana because she's sad and I miss her. Then I went back and did reading and more French. Then Matt B from Hamburg (my co-President of the floor) needed French help (NOT THAT KIND) so he came and did some in our room (his roommate was playing hockey in theirs) and then Becca and I went down to dinner and discussed concerts we've been to. Good times. Then we discussed sadder topics, but then we went back and did homework! yay!! And by homework I mean, talked online! So then I went to do my laundry but apparently I don't have a laundry thing on my card so I hadta call Becca to bring me down my purse for quarters. It was good times, if by good times I mean really annoying times. Also we had a fire drill which was not fun. Then I finished most of my homework, took a shower, and went to bed.
This morning I had French class and then Global Community lecture. I don't know where the speaker was from today--maybe Russia I was guessing? But I didn't get a paper for a long time and I couldn't understand her really well and she was pretty boring (except when she discussed the EU) so I almost fell asleep like 60 times. Then I went to Steele Hall to do my I-9 form so I can work now and I got a free orange highlighter and then I went and got a laundry card so I can finish my laundry tomorrow and then I went to Schine and got a sandwich and some Code Red Mountain Dew so that I'll be able to stay awake. I also forgot my phone today and I didn't know what time it was and it was driving me crazy so I sat so that I could see the clock on top of the Hall of Languages. Then I went down to the involvement fair where I got a SECOND free orange highlighter, and a dancing magnet man in an Otto container, and I signed up at the John Kerry booth and got some info on studying abroad. Good times. Then I went to calc class which was super confusing because it was randomly being taught by some crazy Amish guy because my professor's out of town? People would open the door, look at him, and walk away. I felt bad. I did the same thing before the door was closed but then some kids I remembered went in so I went in too. I wish he was my teacher though. He actually taught us stuff. I miss that. Then I went back here because I didn't feel like hanging out down there. Then I went to my World People and Cultures Lecture which was pretty good as usual. Now I'm back and really tired and I have a lot of homework. Mondays and Wednesdays are my longest days and we didn't have Monday and now Wednesday's over so that's pretty cool.

I feel special for three reasons:
1. Yesterday at the firedrill some girl called me "Prez" because she recognized me. Sweet.
2. The girl from New Orleans in my F.F. class said she told her friends about my patches on my purse. I'm cool.
3. Liz was filling out an application for Molly's Pub and it was hilarious and the last question was "briefly discuss the color orange" oh man, I'm soo cool. My favorite part was when she told them it clashes with my hair.

Fun Fact from the Syracuse Traditions pamphlet (this is dedicated to KT):
In 1995, after the traditions committee recommended changing the mascot to a wolf, students petitioned the chancellor to keep the Orange the official mascot. On Dec. 4, 1995, the Orange became the University's official mascot thanks to a proclamation by Chancellor Kenneth Shaw. "Though some may say we sacrificed a more powerful image with this decision, I believe that, with the orange, we retain a unique position in college athletics," Shaw said. In May of 1997, students, alumni, faculty, and staff voted to retain the original drawing of Otto as the official representation.
Nicknamed Bill Orange, the original mascot, an Indian warrier, got its name from Syracuse being the salt city and because Syracuse is the home of the Six Nations of the Iroquois Confederacy. Still located on the Quad, the statue of the Saltine Warrier, a gift of the class of 1951, was sculpted by Louise Harriet Meyers. The warrier stayed as the mascot until 1978 when American Indian students complained that the mascot was offensive. For a time, a Roman Gladiator served as the mascor and students even proposed the Abominable Orangeman, an orangutan and Egnaro the Troll as new mascots.

I kinda wish we were the Abominable Orangeman. That would be sweet.

I still haven't made it to 42 in my lj comments.

Brief message to those of you going to KenWest--I am SOOOO jealous!!! If you are a senior and you have Mr. Stuhlmiller and Cornell (Oswego?) then I am dying of jealousy. My brother has Ms. Leuchner and Mr. Marzac. *sigh*
Briefly discuss this in small groups and then share your findings with the class (AKA leave a comment)

ps to Kim- Oswego and getting our picture taken with corn!!!

God Bless Dana's Zayde

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIANA!!

This has been a great weekend! (Mostly because I suddenly had a friend!)

Let's see. Friday night Becca and I hooked up with some Shaw girls (Alexis and Jen) and were going to go see the hypnotist. Sadly, he is not until next week (when I'll be home) so instead we decided to go see Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory on the Quad. We were joined by Becky and Sarah who were really cool--they are actual people who we could actually hang out with who are like our friends back home (same with Alexis and Jen) and so it was wonderful. I also hadn't seen the movie in a really long time. If you haven't seen it recently you should see it again. Its really funny and I got a lot of things I missed last time. It was great. Then Becca took a picture of our friends (so that we could prove we had friends) and then we went back to our room to do homework and go to bed early.

Saturday I woke up early and went to find the bus to take me to the train station. I didn't know where the bus would pick us up, but I figured that since it said on the map where it had the line of where the bus started "WAVERLY AVE in front of BYRD LIBRARY" that I should be on Waverly Ave in front of Byrd Library where there was a centro sign. So after the bus was 10 minutes late, the girls I was waiting with and I called the station. They said it was on the other side of Byrd Library. Of course. I should have known. So then I called Kim and I felt really bad because I was going to be terribly late. An hour later (I spent the time reading for homework and getting sunburned) I took the bus to go get KIM!!! It was SOOO wonderful to see her again!! I was soooo happy!! Then we walked over to the Carosel Mall which is really big and really fun. We chatted and ate food (she had never had Arbys!) and then we got smoothies and talked and walked around. We saw a lot of pig stuff, but we decided not to buy any for Erik on account of we didn't feel like it. But we definitely thought about it. We looked at a lot of stuff and eventually bought matching scarf/hat combos (mine, orange of course) from Forever 21 and then we hung out somemore until we decided to catch the bus back to campus. I showed her around my BEAUTIFUL campus a little and then I showed her the stairs. When we got up here she met Becca and then we probably all went to dinner together. And we hung out. And then we went to Starbucks. It was really fun. I think we scared Becca a little but it was really fun. Then we went to the Pita Pit for Coke products (because Becca hates Pepsi lol--JK!!) and then we went back to the room where we hung out until we fell asleep.
Sunday we woke up early because I was supposed to meet someone for church in the morning, but she overslept so Becca, Kim, and I had breakfast together and that was nice and then I went to church. The Bishop (of the diocese of Syracuse) was there to bless Moore House so it was pretty crazy. I mean, I used to party with the Bish all the time but since Bish Mansell left I haven't had a Bish in about 9 months so it was crazy to be with a Bishop again! But it was a party. Jordan was also there but I did not get a chance to talk to him--but we did wave to each other at Communion. Then I went back and took Kimberloo to lunch at the dining hall and we were hanging out and I realized I had an email from my math professor saying she was upset with me because our homework was due later that day and I hadn't even started it and I should have started it a week ago and I was like (in the words of Becca) "what the crap? I totally started it" so I looked and I had been doing the wrong one. I got really angry and I had to sit there and do them and I felt bad. Then I emailed the professor to tell her thank you and I wasn't a total slacker, just a moron. She said "ok see you Wednesday" Anyway then I showed Kim around the campus and showed her the stores and stuff around campus and we did something secret and then we went to Schine where we found lots of fun stuff including a pair of blue and orange SU pants to complete the perfect outfit for next weekend. Then we sat out on the Quad and did nice things for people. There was a baby and it was screaming and I thought it was a goat (I didn't see it) and I was like "is that a goat? no! its a baby! It sounds like its bleating" and since I say "bleating" like the word "bleeding" we decided it would not be as hilarious if it were "bleeding". Then the baby (and its mother) walked back and forth behind us causing Kim and I to laugh to hard we were falling over. It was terribly funny. Then we headed back up to my room to hang out (Becca was at Juice Jam and then she went to the state fair with marching band) and when we got hungry around like 8 or 9 we went down to Marshall St. for Pitas. It was really hard ordering pitas. We told the lady we didnt have them where we came from and she said that there's one in Buffalo. Kim said "oh, we don't get out much" I think the lady was lying. lol. Anyway the pitas were very good and then we discussed important topics and sent out emails. Then Becca came back and we decided to have movie night by watching Teen Girl Squad and then Dirty Dancing. We all fell asleep (pretty much) during Dirty Dancing so we'll try again some other time. lol. I really want to see it, I swear!
Monday we woke up early and grabbed a bagel at the dining hall. Then we walked down to the church where we got free tickets to the state fair. We got a ride with a nice random church lady who wasn't even going to the fair and it was really fun. We enjoyed it and ate much. And saw lots of the world's biggest animals. Sadly there were NO LLAMAS. There was a sign that said "Llamas" but there were none. WHERE ARE THE LLAMAS???? Also we found the Conservative Party, the Right to Life, the GSA (we got "Embrace Diversity" buttons!) and some other stuff but were unable to find John Kerry. Kim was an anchorperson! We ate lots of food. We saw pigs (OINK!) and lots of fun stuff. It was a good time. Sadly, there is not a pride of New York. We went in there and it was only empty cages. Perhaps the pride of NY is hay. Or manure. Or empty cages of hay and manure. Either way, I envied Kim for moving out of state. We also saw lots of stuff and it was really fun. Then the lady picked us up and drove us back up to the Mount. That was very nice of her. She was nice. Oh yea, and there was a nun in a habit and it was nuts. And our friend Steve! He wanted to be our friend! He thought we were funny. Probably funny looking.
We got dinner to go and hung out for awhile. Then Becca came back and was like "I thought you left" so then I took Kim to go get her taxi and the guy was like "I'll be there in 25 minutes" and then we went back and Becca came back again and was like "what the crap?" she didn't really say that, but its the new hot phrase and I really like it. I bet she thought that anyway, even though she's really nice. If she had gone to Kenmore West she would have been in our group. Then the cab guy called and said he was there so Kim left and I was sad. So I went online. And then I went to my floor meeting. And then I was elected...
THE DAY HALL SEVENTH FLOOR UPTOWN PRESIDENT.
Yes, that's right. Its a prestigious honor! I was elected by beating the girl I hate most on my floor by two votes. Most of those votes because they hate her. Matt B from Hamburg is the Downtown President. I was going to join Daymocracy (the Hall board) anyway, so I might as well have a reason to be there. I'm pretty excited. Liz said it was because I'm popular. I know that that's a lie. Kim will tell you that its not my fault that I have no friends--its just that our room is cursed--no cable, no phone line (out--Maurri just called me again!) no parties...lol. and no friends. We were misplaced and should have been placed in Shaw. But that's ok.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIANA!! You are the best person in the world and I hope you have a wonderful day! I miss you a lot and you are so great. I hope this year is even more wonderful than the last and that you stay as awesome as you are for always. Taz says happy birthday too.
Mary McGrath: King...and that's all there is to say except Clown, in FRONT of you, Delta Sonic, Jim, and all of them, math class, Jarosz's math class, American girl dolls, Pepsi parties, porcelin dolls, Let's play baseballPOW!, and everything else that can easily take up a yearbook page to write. I miss you!
I would like to thank Kim for coming here and making my weekend great! You are so awesome and I can never thank you enough! Here are a list of things that I can think of now: where are the llamas, where's Kerry?, anchorwoman, do you like anyone? he's the female..wait! he's the female ___shoot!!, seeing that kid at the mall, smoothies, who's the most popular >:(, Kelly thinks you-reoh...INTERNET STYLE! the goatbaby, me with a mustache, sad or so sad, the haiku, "oh, I was going to say you were a nerd" (about the Byrd library) "what about aardvark?" "Kim, what did i say about correcting me in public?" and um, some other things that I will say when I remember. I love you Kim! Thank you SOOOO MUCH for coming and I hope that you had a good time!!
And for those of you who are bored:

This is a really funny article in the Daily Orange (DO) which everyone should read
and this is a really funny cartoon you should all watch even though I LOOOVE Starbucks.

Leave me comments or I'll just shut this down and move to LJ where I have 39 comments which is really dumb because I want at LEAST 42!! lol...PLLLLEASE?

Quote of the week (unofficial) by Dave Barry:
The Democrats haven't totally gotten over pining for Bill [Clinton]. Remember when you were in high school, and you really wanted to go to the prom with a gorgeous girl, but you couldn't ask her because she was really popular and already had served two terms as president of the United States, so you wound up asking John Kerry? That's the situation the Democrats are in now.

p.s. YOU may go to a party school if:
+the race for condom King and Queen of your hall is more animated and more competative then the race for president of your hall
+you have a condom king and queen designated to hand out 1 condom a day to people of need...
you may go to a party school.

I'm feeling better today.
Partly because school's over until Tuesday and that's pretty sweet, but also because I got my math test back today and I passed--with flying colors. AKA I don't hafta transfer to a lower class. I haven't really been getting the calc this week and I was petrified I'd hafta go down to precalc even though I did just fine last year--but I got an 18 out of 25!! Twice the number right then for those who aren't allowed to take the class. I'm really relieved. Plus, we were learning about limits today and I totally knew what was going on.
This was my first day this week without French, it was pretty sad. Instead I had World People and Cultures where we got into groups and pretended to make up cultures. In my culture when a girl wanted to marry someone she cut off the head of the chicken and threw it in his face. Then they hung the head in the door like mistletoe and they threw the body at the wedding like a bouquet. It was awesome...until we found out we had to act it out... haha I caught the chicken body! I'm getting married next! Also, coolness because one of the kids in my class was from Korea and another was from China. Sweet stuff.
I like that most of my classes (except calc) are dominated by IR majors. Its good times. Unless you're going to Global Community and you hafta say your name and something special about yourself and there's a kid who's a first generation American from Colombia...and a Puerto Rican...and we get to the kid two in front of me and he's like "well, I climbed Mr. Kilamonjaro, the highest mountain in Africa....and then I bungee jumped 110 feet, the biggest bungee in the world..." Yea, well, you know what buddy? I was the fencing armeror. Yea, take that. Shot down you. I was excited because I actually understood and enjoyed the subject of the class (globalization via the end of traditions into a more cosmopolitan world) it was some good times. I even said something. lol. Mt. Kilamonjaroboy dominated the conversation, but its all good.
I had a random hour break in between World P & C and Global Community so I finished reading my GC book in the Quad and then I went to Schine and had some breakfast and then I read the paper outside the hall of languages. It was lovely.
I think my calc teacher kind of reminds me of a mix between Mrs. Otto and someone else but I can't figure out who. Its annoying me...maybe Mrs. Pollard? I'm not sure.
But in the bestest news of all--Kimberley's coming to visit me this weekend!! Thank God!! Becca's going to be out most of the weekend and you all have no idea how lonely I am! I'm giving it bloody time--FRIENDS, get OVER here!
I'm having trouble getting my guest pass though because the website isn't working but Ahmed should call me back when he gets out of his meeting so then I'll get it. No worries. I think this will be the first Friday night in I don't even know how long that I have absolutely nothing to do... I plan on doing my homework and going to bed early so that I don't hafta do work while Kims here.
Jeez...I'm such a loser. :(

I have an announcement to make:
My roommate is very very cool.
She is also very nice.
She is also not a bitch.
She thinks I complain about her (but I seriously don't)
She feels bad and thinks that my friends are going to think that she's mean.
My friends don't think, so its not a problem.
But seriously guys, she's really cool and I lucked out to have her.
That is all!

I really really want my Daddy back.
Oh man, I was just talking to Sarah and you know what? Death sucks. I hate it. I want my Daddy back. He was my favorite person in the entire world and if he was still alive and I was feeling as lonely as I am right now then I would call him up and he would make me laugh and he would tell me how proud of me was and how much he loved me and he would make me feel better.
I hate crying. I hate not having my Daddy to call.
I love you Daddy.
I love you so much.
And I'm still your little girl and I know that you're with me and we'll be together again someday.
I just really miss you...

I miss everyone. Will someone please come visit me this weekend? Please?

Wednesday, September 01, 2004

Today was a good day...classes were kind of stupid, but I lived.
Then I went out to lunch in the ghetto of Booster/Bowland and got to see how life is in the ghetto of SU. (scary) Alana is my new friend and she's the IR major with two classes with me and we both work together now!! (more to come)
Anyway it was some good times...we have more stairs but they also have a really big hill so...good times.
Then I came home to a LOT of new comments in my journal and I'm excited. If you have not yet done so, please go to my livejournal (there's a link over there) and fill out the survey and you will (eventually) recieve a nice reply comment and if you want to post that survey I will do it for you!!
Anyway, this evening I also.... GOT A JOB!!!!
If you ever go to the Carrier Dome for basketball, football, etc. I will be working a concession stand because I am sweet like that!
After that I went to fencing and I met people and I fenced and it was good.
I am very happy.
I also have a lot of work to do.
Also, GREG SHOULD NOT LEARN HOW TO FENCE SABRE. Grrrrrr...
That is all.

How to tell if your school is ghetto:

+when the fire alarms go off do you think its probably a real fire?

+has your school burned down within the past 4 years?

+is there a lot of aspestos? (you know what I mean)

+have you ever had a class, besides PE, in a gym?

+have you ever had a class in a trailer?'

+have you ever had a class in the ghetto (ex. Kenmore East, Brewster-Boland)?

+has a teacher been fired within memory during the school year?
BONUS: was this teacher also arrested?
BONUS: was this only days before the exam?

+have the clocks in your school ever been stuck for months on one time?

+is there a clock on the 4th floor that has said 3:00 since time began?

+has the water ever been bad to drink?

+have you ever had a class in the mall?

+has your music teacher ever been so bad that not a single person ever has liked him?

+are there over 150 stairs to get to a room?

+have you ever had a football year so bad that when the only touchdown ever is
scored, it is celebrated like a victory?

+does your school color match absolutely nothing?

+does it clash with your hair?

+does anything on campus say that the persons soul is the school color?

+is your mascot a walking orange? (Bonus points, cuz that's just SWEET)

+do you ever get your alma mater stuck in your head?

+do I go to your school? Because I seem to make things ghetto...

alright kids...tally up your scores and tell me how you did. This includes years past as well. Personally, I got 100%. Any more questions I should add?

GO TO MY LIVEJOURNAL ------------------------------------------>
and take the quiz! its what all the cool kids are doing and you will personally recieve a thank you comment and if you, in return, put that in your blog/livejournal/deadjournal, etc. I will fill it out for you.

I hafta go...wish me luck!!
