I'm feeling better today.
Partly because school's over until Tuesday and that's pretty sweet, but also because I got my math test back today and I passed--with flying colors. AKA I don't hafta transfer to a lower class. I haven't really been getting the calc this week and I was petrified I'd hafta go down to precalc even though I did just fine last year--but I got an 18 out of 25!! Twice the number right then for those who aren't allowed to take the class. I'm really relieved. Plus, we were learning about limits today and I totally knew what was going on.
This was my first day this week without French, it was pretty sad. Instead I had World People and Cultures where we got into groups and pretended to make up cultures. In my culture when a girl wanted to marry someone she cut off the head of the chicken and threw it in his face. Then they hung the head in the door like mistletoe and they threw the body at the wedding like a bouquet. It was awesome...until we found out we had to act it out... haha I caught the chicken body! I'm getting married next! Also, coolness because one of the kids in my class was from Korea and another was from China. Sweet stuff.
I like that most of my classes (except calc) are dominated by IR majors. Its good times. Unless you're going to Global Community and you hafta say your name and something special about yourself and there's a kid who's a first generation American from Colombia...and a Puerto Rican...and we get to the kid two in front of me and he's like "well, I climbed Mr. Kilamonjaro, the highest mountain in Africa....and then I bungee jumped 110 feet, the biggest bungee in the world..." Yea, well, you know what buddy? I was the fencing armeror. Yea, take that. Shot down you. I was excited because I actually understood and enjoyed the subject of the class (globalization via the end of traditions into a more cosmopolitan world) it was some good times. I even said something. lol. Mt. Kilamonjaroboy dominated the conversation, but its all good.
I had a random hour break in between World P & C and Global Community so I finished reading my GC book in the Quad and then I went to Schine and had some breakfast and then I read the paper outside the hall of languages. It was lovely.
I think my calc teacher kind of reminds me of a mix between Mrs. Otto and someone else but I can't figure out who. Its annoying me...maybe Mrs. Pollard? I'm not sure.
But in the bestest news of all--Kimberley's coming to visit me this weekend!! Thank God!! Becca's going to be out most of the weekend and you all have no idea how lonely I am! I'm giving it bloody time--FRIENDS, get OVER here!
I'm having trouble getting my guest pass though because the website isn't working but Ahmed should call me back when he gets out of his meeting so then I'll get it. No worries. I think this will be the first Friday night in I don't even know how long that I have absolutely nothing to do... I plan on doing my homework and going to bed early so that I don't hafta do work while Kims here.
Jeez...I'm such a loser. :(
