Today's turning out to be a good day!

Yesterday wasn't really a good day. I was kind of bitter because people here aren't always the nicest aka I kinda hate my floor but its all good. I complained to Liz and Dana online and that made it better. Thanks guys! :) Then Becca and Alexis came back from band and...we went Salsa dancing!!! It was so crazy! I danced with Marielle (sp?) from Shaw 1 and then I danced with Alexis but we couldn't really get the turn so we went for extra help and I got paired with some guy. Sadly, he was a waaaaay better salsa dancer then me...and his butt shook way more then mine. Marielle danced with a guy who was wearing a skirt...and I don't think it was a kilt.

At 8:30 I had World People and Cultures...quite a party, but too early to actually be nice or fun. Then I went to the gym to see if I could go white water rafting, but there weren't any more openings and then I got at ticket to go see Micheal Moore (it would be wierd if I had to work that day instead, but I think Ill be ok) and then I got a paper and a sandwich and some coffee--WHEEEE! at Shine and read it. Then I got a copy of the Daily Orange and read it...have I mentioned that I am in love with the author of that Oregon Trail article?? (Obviously his name is Matt) and then I went to my favoritest class in the world: Global Community.

Global Community recitation is the best class and I wish it lasted for much longer then it does. Its awesome and so interesting and its wonderful. I love it so much!
But here are some awesome quotes from the class by my teacher:

"Its wierd how the erasers are vertical like that-Easter Island style. Its like people come in here and worship the erasers sometimes"- Prof. Rupert

"Its not just out there-its in bed with us! It touches us in a very intimate way!"- Prof. Rupert about the effect of globalization on sex.

"Wow! We're a microcasm!"- Prof. Rupert about how half of his childhood friends have gotten divorced just like the statistic

"I guess I'm in story mood today, Yea so for our anniversary we decided to go to this special restaurant and it was $175 a person and our daughter wasn't going to touch any of it so we thought that was really expensive...the point? Well, I guess there wasn't really a point to that story..." - the professsor

"*holding up an African wood carving of a cell phone* I couldn't think of any glocalization relics and then this was sitting on my desk saying uuuuuse me...uuuuse me as an example! I guess its not a very good example, but its an example, and it really wanted me to use it!"- the prof

(to this MK boy said "I have the same thing made out of (some kind of) rock!")
(he also said "I spend most of my summers in Africa, so I was talking to the head of democracy in Africa..."
He's the most random guy in the world!)

Professor Rupert also went into a really big rant about how he hates it when people make up words like "glocalization" and "grobalization" He was like "what IS that? Who cares?? I can't even SAY it!!" It was great. I personally liked it in the book when it said "glovalization and grobalization are just what they sound like" I was like "that doesn't even make any sense.

Anyway, then I went to calc and on the way there I was praying that I'll get the random Amish guy and I did! Prof. Doer is still out of town! yay! So I'm really excited. haha shot down her, but I like Prof. crazy Amish guy better.

Random question: does anyone remember Paul Kenline? Does anyone know where he goes to school because there's this kid in my math class who reminds me of him even though I don't think I've seen Paul Kenline in like 6 years but this kid reminds me of him some how...I don't even know if he went to West? I don't know...but if anyone happens to know the answer that would be really random and wierd. Its still really wierd. Whatever.

The moral of the story is...I'M GOING HOME TONIGHT!!!
I am SOOOOOOO excited! My train was supposed to leave at 4 but my train was cancelled??? So I hafta LEAVE at 7 which is when I was supposed to be home, which makes me really mad. But whatever. I won't complain when I actually get to go home.
So that's mad sweet.
And I'm sooo happy. I'll be back here Sunday afternoon for Daymocracy and the Echo practice. Good times. *sigh* I can't wait to go home!!!

Peace out and please leave me comments??
