An ode to my brother....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID BRISBANE COOPER!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, my baby brother is now....SIXTEEN YEARS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT??

It seems like only 16 years ago that I was in my grandmother's house waiting for the phone call to tell me if I had a baby brother or a baby sister. I had argued for months that it was going to be a sister, DAMNIT (not my exact words) while my father insisted it would be a boy. I have distinct memories of arguing about this. I also remember my Halloween that year consisted of wearing my costume in the halls of the hospital. Thanks alot DAVE! And also I was in my Grandma's house with my cousin who was telling me that there were ghosts upstairs and I got really scared and didn't want to go up there for like, the rest of my life. I still don't particularly like the upstairs of that house. But those are other issues I need to deal with. The point is that my baby brother was born 16 years ago today and now he can drive....OH MY GOD. I also remember 11 years ago last night when my crying baby brother came into my room and said he didn't want to leave preschool because he thought that after he turned 5 he would have to go to my school (Lindbergh) and he didn't want to leave!! awww, mon pauvre!

Do you like how I keep referring to him as my baby brother? Because he is, you know. I'm the OLDER one. Just so you know. Because people never figure that out when they see us together. People suck.

To everyone else: my brother is the funniest person I know--he takes after my Daddy. And you should all go to his lj and wish him a happy birthday:
Anyway, my brother is the best and I just wanted to say that I love him and that his father loves him very much and we're both really sorry we can't be with him today, but we're both there in spirit. One of us more then the other.
