Hey
so last night was fun(it wasn't as big a party as Liz and Naomis' but still) my mom and my dad's old coworker from way back, Jolene, her husband and son picked me up and we went back to Aubern to the hotel. We ate at an Irish pub and it had really good food. I spent the night at the hotel and then this morning we came back here. We parked at Skyhigh and took the shuttle back. I got on the first one because I had to race to work and I made it to the Dome like 15 minutes early. I headed up to my beer stand (270D) and I saw Alana who was working 270C. Then I hung out with the girl who was put as my co-seller. Here name was Sarah Christian. Oh man, what a last name! I mean what kind of last name is THAT? Seriously. Although she was really awesome (must be the last name!) We talked a lot (because sometimes there's really nothing to do) and then when people came for beer we IDed under 35 (the oldest I IDed was born in 1969-yes!!) and we got along well. We invented a game that was called "Would you ID them?" wherein we would point someone out and then ask the other if we would ID them. The very best moment of the day was when Sarah pointed out a young man and said "would you ID him?" and I was like "yea, I would" and then he came over to buy a beer so she was like "here's your chance! go!" so then I walked over laughing and I was like "hi, how many and can I see your ID please" so he's like "one" so I'm like "$4.50, can I see your ID?" and he says...and this is a direct quote... "Do you take Nederlands ID?"
awesome.
Ok so "I'm Smart" training does NOT teach you about DUTCH IDS!!! Anyway I took it and its like this pink folded piece of paper, in Dutch. Luckily, I speak more Dutch then most people at that Dome probably...or at least I did at one time! So he pointed out where his DOB was-1975- and I'm like "hmm, ok so where in the Holland are you from?" and he's like "Uter" and I'm like "ok if he was a frodulant Dutchman then he would have said Amsterdam" so I was like "I went to Amsterdam this summer" and he was like "oh really? did you like it?" and I was like "yes" and I gave him the beer. It was insane. On a side note, the Tappen High School mascot is the Dutchman. Sweet.
Another random 21 year old gave me a military ID which threw me even though they DID go over that in training. I didn't catch any fake IDs though. It was a lot of fun and we made a lot of money. Its really a huge shame we can't accept tips though! We'd be rich as kings! We had two pourers and a really good looking supervisor named I forgot. Maybe Steve? Doesn't matter. Anyway he looked like Nick Carter.
After halftime Sarah and I got nachoes, mountain dew, and candy (I just realized my mom took off with my Milk Duds!!) and ate them while watching the game. While we watched, Rutgers scored making them up by like 3 so we left and said goodbye and I went to find my mom. I took her for food in the student center and showed her around campus. While we were inside, the Orange scored making us up by 4. While we were walking around campus Rutgers scored again. We left the student center so I could show my mommy my favorite building on campus (the Hall of Languages...its sexy) and as we left my mom said "oh, there are the Rizzos!"
So I live here for a month and I don't see Jay Rizzo and she's here for how long before we're chilling with my favorite (aka only) tour guide of SU? I mean...he HAD AN AP BIO BOOK IN HIS ROOM. I walked in--well, if you don't remember the story I'll quote directly from my blog on Jan. 19:
We dropped them off at their Magic Tournament (Strong Bad: ToUORnament.) and headed off to meet my new friend Jason. We got lost big time because Syracuse pretends to have a route 81 South but its a lie. But we eventually visited him. He took us into his dorm room...and I walk in and gasp... so he says "yea, isn't the view beautiful?" but I can't speak... finally I say, "YOU HAVE MY AP BIO BOOK ON YOUR SHELF!!" It was amazing. HE GOT IT FOR FREE!! And he uses it because he's a bio major but he didn't use that book when he took it at WSW. So he showed me all around the campus and its absolutely beautiful and its really up there in terms of places I want to go (that and Cornell... but I REALLY like it and it has a REALLY good IR program...) sooo...I dunno.

In case you were wondering, I ended up at SU.
SU ended up winning with a touchdown at the last minute...making the score being...TBA...ORANGE winning by like 4.
Anyway then we met up with the Tracys again and we decided to go to church so we walked down the the ACC and were 1/2 hour early so we met everyone like 7 times and became good friends. My friend the guitarist from the Italian fest was playing but I didn't have my guitar so I didn't play but it was a really nice mass. It was the parents day mass though...and I'm not all into the whole "parents" thing because it doesn't make me really all that happy so I bawled during like, the entire mass. I'm such a crybaby. Ok, I know I'm allowed but I felt like a loser anyway. So then we end up having some refreshments afterwards with like Father Tim and Eileen and the lady from Mount St. Marys and Mr. Tracy turns to me and said, "do you want my 'Syracuse Dad' pin" so I looked at him and I was like "I don't really have a need for it" and he said "put it with a picture of your dad" and I burst into tears and Eileen was like "What's wrong??" so then Mr. Tracy and Jolene started talking about my dad and what a wonderful guy he was and everyone's hugging me and I'm crying my eyes out and then we talked for like a 1/2 hour so I cried for at least an hour today and then Eileen wants to set up a Berevement committee with me and stuff and it was really nice and now I hafta go talk to her for like, spiritual cousiling kinda. Ok, I don't need counsiling...I mean...I'm very spiritiual and I know that my Daddy's with me all the time. I see signs that he's with me all the time. For instance I know that whenever there's a special light shining down on me I know its him and today I looked up at one of the lights and it was pointing down at the guitarist and I knew that my Daddy was teasing me and saying that I had to sing louder and play at mass. haha, it was really funny. I started laughing. Then I got kinda freaked out and when I looked back up it was shining on me instead. I love my Daddy and I miss him even though he's with me all the time.
That's enough of that. Anyway on the way down we ran into Vincent, my French teacher again. hahah I'm such a loser. I see him all the time now! aka twice! So he met my mom and they spoke in French even though my mom doesn't speak French she just knows the stuff for like, getting along while visiting my French family and then Vincent realized this and they had a conversation in English (just like my French mom!! GAHH! Not that I'm bitter!!) and I felt like a stalker because I shouldn't see him twice.
Anyway after Mass we were going to take the bus back to the car on Skyhigh but Father Tim was like "no! Let me drive you!" so he drove us back to our car!! It was so nice of him!! We're best friends. Speaking of best friends that are priests, I got a letter the other day! From FC!! Aww, I miss FC and Father Jack. Anyway then we drove around and ended up eating at a nice little pizza place on Marshall St.
Then we came back here to say goodbye and I was hugging my mom goodbye, but I had to stop because there were kids at the door that needed to get in.
YOU'RE WELCOME PAUL KENLINE!!
He's just angry because HIS parents didn't love him enough to come up this weekend!
(that or his parents weren't up because ESF parents weekend was 2 weeks ago)
Anyway then my mom and the Tracys left and I'm here and "doing homework" ready for a crazy day tomorrow!! I can't wait!
