I LOVE MARIA!!
So Friday after school I kinda just hung out until 6:15 when my mom and me picked up Jeff and Liz and we went out to Tonawanda for Katlyn's wake. It was horribly sad. We got there early because my mom was going out of town for the weekend, so we didn't have to wait for hours, but by the time we left we were lucky to see the line going around the corner. We looked at all the pictures--she was sooo beautiful! She was homecoming queen and star of the basketball, track, and soccer teams, she was class treasurer, the list goes on. We couldn't even recognize her. She looked so different. It was nice to see the pictures of when we did recognize her though. Oh God, it was horrible. I didn't start crying until I saw her mother. Her mother recognized us and we gave her the picture we had found from 1st grade at some girl scout function with face paint on and its with Laura Spreigel. I have a picture on my wall of Marie, Liz, and me the same way. They're really cute. Oh, God. I can't talk about it anymore! This was supposed to be a happy entry! :(
So I went home and online and Ria invited me to go to Starbucks with her and Ang and random Phil Getman. I drank a carmel frappuchino and then we went over to Subway and Erik and Briana showed up and they brought Mike with them. We ended up heading back to my house to play with my hot Mannekin Pis cards. I came in second in spoons!!! I rock. Ang and I didn't quite have the hang of Peanut Butter though. I want Brian to be my partner sometime!! I was President twice in Eggroll and I never was the Eggroll...was Mike the eggroll the entire night?? haha I think he was! Well they ended up leaving around 2 and it was really fun.
Saturday I slept til one and I went to Margaret's party for awhile and I got to meet the famous Fabian the sweaty Puerto Rican!! Then Liz and I went out prom dress shopping and it turns out there isn't a single prom dress that isn't ugly in the whole Boulevard. Next week we're gonna hit up the Galleria. Then I waited around for my boyfriend to call, but his grandma's in the hospital again :( so I went to a movie with my dad and my brother. We went to see the Endless Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It was really wierd. I was debating whether it was wierder than le Huitieme Jour and I think it might be!! It was very strange. And VERY Freudian! It was bizarre. I went home and talked to Brian and then it was 2 and time to go to sleep!
Today I went to the 9:30 mass and guess who was there?? MARIA!!!!! For those of you who don't know Maria, she is the best person in the world!!!! She was born in Italy and baptized by the Pope and she lived in Virginia and now she goes to school in NC, but her family lives in Brussels and she went there over Christmas when she gave me a picture of my beloved Mannekin Pis dressed up like Santa!! I love Maria!! I'm her biggest fan!!!!!!!!!! Anyway after mass we hung out and FC promised us a pizza (Luke, Chrissy, and Laura were all there too. And POLSKA said the Homily again!) and then we POLSKAED the POLSKA and he almost dropped his papers. He stopped and turned and stared and us and then walked away. Hahahah its funny because he hates us! Then we went to IHOP- Dominic, Liz, Maria and me--but it was too crowded so we went to Dennys and we looked at Maria's pictures and then we went out to Niagara to pick up Janet but she was busy until one so we sat around Gallagher and then she came to us and we went to her room and met all her friends (except Kevin) and then we ate her RingPops and then we were sitting around and like "What should we do?" So we decided to go to Canada!! So we ended up getting pretty lost on the way and heading over on some obscure bridge. The lady was like "where were you born?" and Dominic lies "US" (We all have american citizenship) And she asked us what we were going to do and he was like "See the falls" and she's like "Besides the clothes on your back do you have anything with you?" and we're like "uh, no" and then she's like "ok bye" and it was really funny because she sounded so bitter! She was like "ok bye" really snippy!! We laughed until Dominic almost got us hit by a TRUCK. Then we drove around Canada real lost following this random Quebecois (prolly the same guy who traded shirts with FC) who couldn't drive to save his life. Then we ended up parking and we crossed the street (haha little guy with a big step!) and we went into the little building and got ice cream even though it was freezing out. I got a milkshake but the chocolate chips kept getting stuck in the straw!! It was sad. Then we went out and got our picture taken in front of the falls and the Canadian woman had a cute accent! And then we took a picture of Maria with her leg up jumping over the falls because the sign had the picture on it and it was hilarious. Then we went inside so Maria could get pictures (her poor friends just got postcards from her from Brussels and Paris and now...NIAGARA FALLS ONTARIO! hahaha. Its funny because she was sunbathing on Friday and now she's spending her spring break in Buffalo!) ****IMPORTANT FACTOID OF THE DAY**** In the EU gift shop in Brussels (Bruxelles in Flemish) they sell EU condoms with the stars of the flag in a circle going around it. That's AMAZING. Maria didn't buy any though :( So then we got our picture taken by they guy who works at the gift shop with the huge stuffed moose because last time Maria was in Canada she and Katie got their picture taken with a moose!! Good times!! Then we went home. On the way home the guy at customs was not too bad looking. ("I have some illegal drugs...in a pocket...in my underwear") Best quote by the hot customs guy: "Is this your car?" (Dominic: yes) "Did you put on the registration sticker?" (My dad did) "Are you aware that its upside down?" (yes) "Was he drunk or taking illegal substances??" hahahahahaha it was awesome. So we lied again and got back into the country safe and sound and made it back in time to do my homework!!! And now I must do economics test corrections and a WWII paper!
