Ok so I should really be doing homework!!
So Wednesday Liz, her mom, my dad and me hopped into our car and headed off to Starbucks (mmmm...carmel frappachino) and then we headed downtown to One Niagara Square---Family Court. So we headed down to the Family Court floor and we handed in our slips. The lady was like "so are you Tanya?" I was like "no....I'm Kelly" and she was like "oh you're the COMPLAITENT" I was like "uh duh" so then she had us go sit in this little room so we sat there and we all read (I read the comedy Heart of Darkness) and then I turn around and realized that Tanya and her PO'd mother (who apparently had a lot of tattoos) were behind us. Then we noticed that Sydney and her parents came in and her mom was crying. They sat against the wall and tried to fill out these sheets: "What should I say about attendence? Poor?" "Yea....no...average" So average means not going to school for a month in juvy. Then they tried the same thing with grades. So then we sat there in awkward silence without talking for about an hour so then Liz and I began to discuss stuff like English class and finally my dad got kinda mad and went in to talk to the guy about why we were supposed to be there at 9:30 and it was now 11. So this lady comes in and is like "you're the complatent, right? So you'll be called in first" so we're like ok. So then the Assistant DA man came in and he's like "Tanya Hooper?" So we're like "uhhh...?" So she's gone for 10-15 minutes and she comes back and the Assistant DA comes in and calls us in. So then we meet him...his hair was in 20 billion different directions, he's hung over....and....as soon as we get into his office we smell...what's that? ah yes. Urine. Dr. Christian later identified the smell as cat pee--- so his name will from now on be Mr. Cat Pee Man. He talked to us about if we wanted to send them to mandatory counsiling or go before a judge. Eventually we decided to have them go to counsiling and if they miss some or if they do anything else or deny the charges or anything we'll hafta go before the court. Then we left our dear, hungover, cat pee man and were finally able to breathe again. I guess they chose to go to counsiling because mr cat pee man called last night and said that there was a possibility that we would hafta go to mediation with them. Grrr they're so dumb. He was too hungover to tell us that earlier. So then we went to Subway for lunch and then we went to school and were only about 2 minutes late for 6th period! Then I went to 7th period and then 8th period we had study hall!!! Hurrah for perfect attendence!! Then Marie went down and got us our NHS stuff and I got Brian and we went to Model UN. Then we went to Girl Scouts ("Girl Scouts") and then they left and Brian came over because he hadn't eaten corn beef and cabbage and Irish Soda Bread (mmmmmmmmmm) for St. Patty's day before. Yum!! Happy St. Patrick's Day! Then we dropped him off and we went to our last karate before April 28th. There was testing and then sparring. It was so awesome because Margaret and I had almost everything planned out for every bout except he threw us off once. I sparred Margaret and she beat me 3-2 but she punched me in the nose (head shots count) and then I sparred my mom and of course I beat her. 3-1 but she only got that point because Sharon, Ellie, and Matt were pointgivers and they always want her to get a point.
Thursday I actually had to go to school! Our team won in soccer!!! It was awesome!!! YAY! Then after school we had guitar/harp/sax and then some people went out to dinner to say goodbye to Stan.
Homework time!! I hafta finish reading for WWII and I hafta read Heart of Darkness. Good times. None of the ships would look at me :(
talk to you later.
