GUESS WHAT'S ON FOR FRIDAY??? JOHN EDWARDS IS COMING TO BUFFALO!! AND LIZ HAS THE CAR!!! Could life be better?? Could we BE cooler? I think not. Hahahahaha. Aww, right now I'm writing my amazing essay for WWII-- doesn't it look like it? Marc Loeser is working on his too!! We match!! My amazing essay starts awesomely:
Why is the Champs-Elysees lined with trees? Because the Germans like to march in the shade! Hilarious, isn’t it? Many people make jokes about the French just like this one mocking the wonderful French people. I remember a day not so long ago when I was walking down the Champs-Elysees, lost, and the friendly French people helped me to find my way to the Place de la Concorde where I was meeting my friends. And no, not one French person tried to surrender to me. On the Simpsons, Homer says to Joan of Arc “God wants you to lead us to victory? But we're French! We don't even have a word for that!” With all these stereotypes of the French surrendering, one would think that the fall of France to the German army was inevitable. In fact, the French have an Arc de Triomphe for a reason—there was a time when all of Europe had fallen to the French. Napoleon ruled over Europe and people feared the French army. Even after World War I, many countries, including Germany, were afraid of the French army. Winston Churchill was known to have exclaimed, “Thank God for the French army!” No, the fall of France was only due to small shortcomings in political leadership and military organization. If a few small things had gone right for the French, they could have easily crushed the German advancement. Its funny because Chris just IMed me and said, "France was in WWII??" hahaha YOU'RE A FUNNY ONE CHRIS!
Hahaha, those were the best of times. Remember when we were lost on the Champs-Elysees? That was the best thing ever. Remember when we got lost in the Louvre? And in Belgium for (literarly) 2 hours? And in Brugges when I pretended that I knew where we were but it turns out it was the wrong historic church??? Hahahaha.... which one of those were the best? Probably the Champs-Elysees because the most famous part of the whole street is the forested part but we were real tired. The other best time was when we were lost in the Louvre and we were like "aw man, its the Mona Lisa again!! Wait...no...that's just la Jaconde again...CURSE YOU MONA LISA!" Hahaha GOOD TIMES.
Anyway, fencing yesterday aw man. Dana was sick (feel better Dana!) so Liz and I were teaching even though Tom was taking over. Hahaha, remember when I said that station fencing was the most thing ever? It was some good times! And then Liz said she would epee me but she didn't so I only gotta foil that Kyle kid with the awesome feet (*Drool*) Ok, so I'm not wierd about feet like wierd or anything but I have certain *ahem* STANDARDS and I will list them:
*knees. GOD GAVE YOU KNEES TO FENCE. Whoa man, Silas' knees...whoa. They're like Adam's! Like Adam's coming back. Whatever man.
*POMMEL IN THE WRIST!!
*Awww FEET.... right angle, one step apart and...this is important...and hard...so follow me close on this one, ok?? STRAIGHT!
Yea.... and body upright and feet ON THE FLOOR. I miss Steve. Have I mentioned that before?
I suppose I really ought to get writing my paper...
