The Super Bowl--
Apparently the Giants and the Patriots have decided to play in the Super Bowl this year. That's great for them, I have a whole lot of Giants/Patriots fan friends and just have a few words of advice for them. You see, I have a lot of experience at having my team go to the Super Bowl. Here's the thing: you're all excited, you've won the Conference champs--you're going to the Super Bowl! then you go and you play and then that's it! I mean, no one ever really pays attention to who wins--you've already done the hard part! You're in the Super Bowl! Just think of how fantastic that is! No matter what you're either first or second in the League and isn't that just a good enough feeling in itself?? After all, there's always next year. Sure, your team gets to take a nice vacation to Arizona, and that's just a bonus. Good for you!
Except for you Patriots fans. I'm SO very sick of Boston "winning" at things. I used to really like Boston. I felt sorry for them because they too had a cursed city, but I'm pretty sure they're over that curse and they can't use that anymore. Not after two world series(es) and 18 straight football games. Everyone is OVER Boston and their "winning"...isn't it time you let someone else win for a change? For instance, maybe a smaller city? One who is also cursed? But....more cursed? Not that it matters, but maybe that kind of city would like to win a Super Bowl for a change. Or a Stanley Cup...oh, that's not Boston that's winning those. And thanks for that Boston! The moral is that I don't want to hear any more of your whole "cursed" talk because there's something in the water in New England and it cannot be healthy.
In conclusion, no one ever pays attention to the "victors" of the Super Bowl--it's the number of times in a row you're able to make it there that counts. GO BILLS!
and short of that, Go Giants!
