There are so many things I need to write about that I just don't write because there's too much to write SO being my OCD self I'm going to number and organize the entry.
1) My job
2) My classes
3) My friends
4) Rubbing in the fact that SU beat UB
5) My bizarro love life
6) My weekend
So here it goes!
1) This week was hardcore better than last week. Last week was my first week supervising at the Dome. I'd been all prepared to do ice cream, but then all of a sudden I get put in some wierd beer stand that I'd never even seen before. It turns out this particular stand enjoys blowing up its kegs in its supervisor's face and also is the only stand that doesn't have its own drain. That way, if for some reason you don't know this, an unholy mixture of pop and beer will flood the catering room and it will be bad. Also we ran out of beer during half time and I had a really annoying employee etc. etc. etc. The only good part was I was only $9 off in my final tally.
This week I really WAS put in ice cream with two really great employees and it really wasn't bad at all. I got to take my breaks, and everything turned out fine. It was HEAVEN in comparison with last week. But THEN I went to get the final money count total and it turns out I was $100 off so I was like "gahhhh life sucks!" and then they recounted the money and it turns out I was only $1.05 off. That was EXCELLENT.
2) My classes are pretty good as a whole:
Econ~ its pretty much the same as Cornell's class right now. AKA boring, but I know the stuff so its fine.
Cities of Europe~ taught by this crazy British guy and all we do is study different cities and he tells us how much we all need to move to Europe. AKA the best class ever
Europe Since 1945~ is a really excellent class. I like when they show pictures of Koln except its really depressing because Koln's totally dead and bombed out. Also we watch movies that relate to the time and the reading's really interesting. We have a kid from Tulane University in the class! (SU took in 96 Tulane students. Cuz we can really fit more people here. But it was really cool!) The worst part about this class is that it is in Newhouse 206. I have only ever been in one Newhouse classroom before this (the same room) and I must say that every time I walk in, its EXTREMELY uncomfortable, and yet hilarious. Pretty much only Liz, Kim, Mike & Jason understand that. But its a good time.
French Business~ as interesting as it sounds. Maybe less so. Now try it in quiet REALLYFAST French.
Woman's Studies~ Ahh, Woman's Studies. Woman's Studies is just like the Woman's Studies that they tell you about. Its...yeah.
BEGINNER FENCING~ ok, let's just say that it is EXACTLY the opposite of everything we ever learned--he's a HUNGARIAN fencing master who taught us ELECTRIC EPEE and made us fence it on the first day (not so bad for Mike & me, but there are other kids in the class who don't even know what a foil is or whatever...) But it was fun, and interesting.
3)Pretty much I'm hanging out with Mike & Andrea alot. Also Melissa! And Chris (who I like to make feel bad about woman's studies) and I went to the State Fair with Greg! and I love Sarah Hyers. And I saw Jordan a few times! and the other Chris! And I made a new best friend. She's in fencing and my econ class. She's a sophmore IR major with a conservative freshman roommate from Virginia and she lives 2 floors above me in Day Hall. She likes Johnny Depp and the Daily Show. AKA we're clones and she's awesome. Her name is Tracy.
4) SU beat UB 31-0. I just thought I needed to mention it. Buffalo's still a much better city.
5) Ok so if you don't know about the wierdness of the other parts of my lovelife (aka my lack thereof) then there's a lot I can't really mention here BUT I will have you know that BESIDES THE STALKER there are 2 other random guys...one of whom I will repeat I did NOT personally ruin his marriage. I thought I would mention that again. But also there's a third guy I met at the fair and I feel that he's going to call me and I feel that it will be awkward. I suppose the moral of the story is that I need a boyfriend who is NOT creepy, NOT married/in a relationship, NOT awkward and I would like to meet him soon. Thanks.
6) Last night I went to see "Wedding Crashers" with Melissa and it was SUPER funny. Then after work today Mike and I went to go see what time the movie was, but we were an hour early so we went to fence. I love fencing and Mike's my favorite person on earth so he taught me stuff and we fenced and it was fun. I'm afraid we're not going to be able to fence alot just him and me with the 156 new fencers coming in. I forgot to say we got another 33 people signed up at the Club Sports Fair. Just what we needed! Then we went to see Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy and we made a friend named Josh who was a poor substitute for Dave (or Jason or Andrea). (I miss my RB!!!) Tomorrow's a crazy day that involves me fighting off more curlers (luckily it won't be hard because I'm over the age of 18)
so peace out.
